Job Title: Health Safety and Environment Officer (HSE)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Purpose of the Position
The Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer uses specialist technical skills and knowledge to help our clients in the industry create highly effective solutions that minimize risk, reduce operating costs and assure a safe and healthy work environment.
Scope
The HSE Officer reports to the Head and provides technical support in carrying out consultancy related tasks as required by GEHS clients to include: HSE compliance audits, safety risk assessments, formulation of policies, accident investigations, capacity building, etc.
Responsibilities
As a HSE Officer, you will undertake Client specific HSE services to include, but not limited to:
Set good example for safety in client’s site.
Generation of new businesses and maintenance of existing accounts;
Carrying out risk assessments/compliance audits for clients.
Providing recommendations for corrective action to remedy non-compliances.
Undertaking incident investigation where required.
Production and Maintenance of client specific HSE policy, plans, work instructions and procedures for a wide range of hazards
Developing proactive risk management strategies for clients to minimize their health and safety risk exposure.
Developing HSE Management systems for clients.
Ensuring that clients are kept up to date with Health, Safety and Environment issues.
Promoting good HSE practice at clients’ sites.
Prepare and present management reports to the clients as required using approved style and content templates in approved timescales.
Assists to organize and participate in HSE training courses in accordance with the fixed program approved by Head.
Assists in administering HSE programs on client’s site.
Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
Candidate must have:
A BSc. Degree or higher in Engineering or an associated degree in Safety, Health and Environment or a closely related field from an accredited university. A detailed understanding of the Nigerian HSE and other international regulations is an added advantage. Valid HSE course such as NEBOSH diploma or equivalent will also be an advantage.
Minimum of 2 years experience preferably in the construction industry as a field.

Job Title: Front Desk Officer
JOB DESCRIPTION
Purpose of the Position
The Front Desk Officer provides the initial point of contact for clients submitting request for services made either in person or telephone. Areas of work include customer related services and administration.
Scope
The Front Desk Officer reports to the Office Manager. As the first point of contact, she will have a unique responsibility of making a good first impression as the image of the organization to the visitors and the clients. She must be friendly, professional and helpful to all visitors. She will also fill in a minor security role by monitoring access to the office by visitors.
Responsibilities
As a Front Desk Officer, your responsibilities will include, but not limited to
Control the reception area and provide the first point of contact for visitors or callers to the office.
Greet visitors as well as receive and answer/route calls.
Direct and navigate visitors and clients to the right areas in the Office.
Handles enquires from the public and provide information relating to the company.
Receives and oversees the description of incoming mails.
Carrying out any duties that may arise or as directed.
Qualifications:
Candidate should:
Hold OND/HND degree or Bachelor’s degree in any Administrative related field. Additional qualification will be an advantage.

Job Title: Marketer
JOB DESCRIPTION
Purpose of the Position
The Marketer uses skills and knowledge to interest buyers and purchasing agents in their products and services and addresses client’s questions and concerns. S/He demonstrates their products and advice clients on how using these products can reduce costs.
Scope
The Marketer reports to the Head and has functional relationships with the HSE Officer and EHO in achieving budgeted turnover and profit, based on sales target.
Responsibilities
The main responsibility is to proactively market GEHS products services within the sales territory allocated in order to achieve turnover and profitability targets on a monthly as well as yearly basis.
Develops annual sales plan, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year which will focus marketer on meeting or exceeding sales quota;
Direct sales to end users by demonstration of GEHS products/services;
Actively promotes GEHS products/services to industrial companies in the sales area;
Maintain comprehensive and accurate customer records to include the company detail and developing a data base of qualified leads;
Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales and follow up activities;
Prepare and present information at meetings as requested by Head;
Develop reports and proposals to illustrate benefits of GEHS products and services;
Deliver sales presentations;
Utilize sales marketing software packages;
Conduct sales transactions through internet based electronic commerce;
Consult with clients after sales to provide after sales services and ongoing support;
Expand GEHS position within the territory by developing both new and existing accounts and taking market share from competitors;
Promote sales to existing clients;
Identify and solicit potential clients;
Plan, organize, and execute marketing and sales programs.
Track market and company sales performance.
Generate leads and drive sales.
Attend trade shows and events to market product.
Keep abreast of industry trends, competition, and new opportunities.
Other duties as assigned from time to time by Head.
Qualifications:

The Environmental Scientist measures and records features of the environment as well as study, assess and develop methods of controlling or minimizing the harmful effects of human activity on the environment.
Scope
The Environmental Scientist reports to the Head and provides technical supports in the delivery of environmental services of the organization. S/He will carry out the full range of investigative, educational and advisory duties associated with all facets of the environment. Areas of work include Environmental Audit, Impact Assessments, Waste Management, Capacity Building and Report Writing.
Responsibilities
As an Environmental Scientist, your duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Coordinate all environmental services of the organization.
Collect environmental data during field activities.
Analyze and interpret environmental data to determine quality and scientific significance.
Conduct Environmental Audits.
Prepare Reports on Environmental Studies.
Develop review environmental policies, regulations and guidelines to meet appropriate requirement.
Generate new businesses and maintenance of existing clients’ base.
Develop proposals on solutions and services on environment related challenges.
Assist in the implementation of the training programs run by the organization. Specifically plan, develop, promote and coordinate the Environmental Management Courses.

Qualifications:

Candidate should hold a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences or any Environmental related field. Additional qualification will be an advantage.
Candidate should have at least 2 years working experience.
