Job Title:Medical Field Officer
Main Responsibilities
- Assess the vulnerable population in Shanty towns in Port Harcourt city, analyse their problems and identify their acute needs
- Propose the most appropriate, meaningful and relevant project to response to the acute needs of the target population namely.
- Develop a project which should correspond to the need and in line with the ICRC health strategy.
- Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of health programs
- Work in an integrated approach within all ICRC assistance activities, within the sub delegation.
- Contribute to continuous assessment and monitoring of health situation in area of responsibility
- In coordination with Head of Sub Delegation, Health Coordinator, maintains contacts with State, local authorities and other humanitarian organizations, National Security, Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS) and community leaders
- Participates in field trips; at times may be requested to organize and lead field trip
- Timely oral and written report writing
Required Qualifications
- Medical Doctor Registered with the Nigerian Medical Board of Nigeria
- Working experience in Public Health in the tropics is mandatory
- At least 2 years of experience in working in Nigeria and knowledge of the Nigerian Health System
- Good command of both written and spoken English
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Good knowledge of Niger Delta in general and Rivers state in particular
- Prepared to spend 80% of time doing field visits
- Able to translate local languages to English and vice versa
- Knowledge in Data entry and analysis

Job Title:Logistics Office Clerk
Main Responsibilities
- Processing of invoices; submission of approved invoices to the admin department for execution of cash/bank payments to the suppliers; petty cash payments to the suppliers
- Responsible for maintaining all logistics files in accordance to the ICRC filing system
- Check and process invoice from the supplier, provides all supporting documents and submits for signatures and payment.
- In charge of insuring and following with Finance that the invoices are paid to supplier in due time frame
- Ensures supplier’s registration and validation are completed in cooperation with the Logistician
- Informs bidders about the results of tender
Required Qualifications
- Secretary Diploma or equivalent
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Advanced conversational and written English
- Knowledge of Hausa and/or Fulani is an asset
- PC literate: Good command on Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power point, etc.)

Job Title:Forensic Field Officer
Main Responsibilities
- Ensures the forensic analysis of the context by maintaining an overview on the forensic situation in Nigeria, particularly for relevant population in the Northeast
- Works effectively within relevant programmes to advance issues related to forensic science, in particular the management of the dead from armed conflict
- Organising of training courses and field visits in the area covered by the position.
- Assists in the implementation of ICRC’s Forensic Strategy and activities related to this file.
- Organises workshops on management of human remains to various target populations
- Assists in the dissemination of the organisations’ communications on forensic science and humanitarian action
Required Qualifications
- Forensic practitioner holding a Masters’ Degree or equivalent in Medical, Biological or Forensic Sciences.
- 3-4 years professional experience in similar field activity.
- Forensic dissemination experience and skills and capacity to adapt the message to diverse audiences;
- Practice in the field of forensic sciences and humanitarian practice;
- Commitment towards highest forensic scientific and ethical standards;
- Good command of written and spoken English and speaking Kanuri, and Hausa would be a strong asset.
- Good computer skills, good command of standard software and knowledge of internet search.
- Good knowledge of geographically assigned environment.

Job Title: Radio Operator
Main Responsibilities
- Independently operates all radio and satellite equipment for voice and data communication
- Independently facilitates radio and telecommunication contacts and permanent field follow-up according to internal guidelines
- Selects most efficient mean of communication (inside and outside ICRC), taking in account format electronic or paper), speed and price
- Operates all machines for Voice (Tel, VHF, HF) and satellite telephone and maintains daily radio and operations in the field mobile log
- Acts quickly in the event of an emergency and contact relevant managements to contain and help solve critical incidents maintain a detailed incident log for security reports
- Registers and treat incoming and outgoing information confidentially, rapidly and with accuracy
Required Qualifications
- Secondary Education
- Diploma in ICT or Electronic, additional vocational training in electronics, telecommunication, IT or similar field will be an asset
- Experience in communications/Radio operations within NGO’s or similar function preferably with an international organization
- Very good command of written and spoken English.
- Very good knowledge of Windows based computers
- Good knowledge of radio (HF & VHF) technology and satellite communication
- Excellent knowledge of the geographically assigned environment
- No prior criminal conviction

Job Title: Cooperation Field Officer
Main Responsibilities
- Contribute to the implementation of Cooperation Framework Agreement annexes relating to general Cooperation support
- Closely monitor financial processes including transfer of funds and financial reporting/retirement as well as coaching on finance management with Coop Assistant in line with the Cooperation Framework Agreement annex on financial procedures
- Provide support as relevant at Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS) workshops ensuring incorporation of Safer Access in collaboration with Coop Assistant and NRCS HQ
- Maintain close contact with respective branch secretaries and ensure that the link with NRCS Headquarters is strengthened and maintained
- Work to ensure coordination and coherence between the different ICRC operational objectives that involve NRCS in identified branches
- Oversee and monitor projects and activities in the identified branches with requisite reporting
Required Qualifications
- University Degree in Project Management, Business Administration or equivalent field

Job Title:Water and Habitat Purchaser
Main Responsibilities
- Acts as a focal point for processing Local Purchase Orders (LPOs).
- Ensures orders are delivered on time and items meet the specification required.
- Prepares each Purchase Order (PO) file according to ICRC standards
- Ensures all required POs are entered and properly closed in the database Field Supply System (FSS).
- Follows up final payment and settlements with the finance and Water and habitat department
- Assist the field Sub Delegations/offices in case of need or upon request by the Logistics Delegate (travelling to other ICRC sites in Nigeria, follow up of the filing for the ROs validated in the capital, etc.)
- Decides procurement mode in collaboration with Head of Purchasing Delegate and the requester: Local Procurement Request, Stock Requisition and Requisition Order to other sites, IT or admin stock.
- Liaises with Water and habitat department for the purchasing forecast
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree, Associate Degree or equivalent higher Education Degree in Administration, Logistics, Purchasing or similar field.
- Additional vocational training in administration, logistics or purchasing.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, purchasing, administration or similar position in commercial/Engineering or humanitarian sector.
- Advanced conversational and written English. Other North East (Hausa, Fulani) dialogue is an asset.
- PC literate: Microsoft office.
