Mott MacDonald is currently preparing to tender for the £5m DFID and USAID funded Global Learning for Adaptive Management (GLAM) programme. We anticipate that the programme will begin in 2017 and run for up to 4.5 years.
The Global Learning for Adaptive Management (GLAM) programme will establish a technical assistance mechanism that delivers Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) support to adaptive development programmes in DFID and USAID. It will also establish a centre for learning about adaptive management.

Job Description
We are looking for Technical Experts to support the GLAM programme in all areas of Adaptive Management:
- Participatory appraisal methods;
- Designing adaptive monitoring frameworks;
- Designing and conducting adaptive evaluation methodologies;
- Political economy analysis;
- Management Information Systems;
- Digital technologies for data collection;
- Research communication;
- Fragile and conflict states;
- Capacity building.
Candidate Specification
Required skills and qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in implementing adaptive management/capacity building programmes in developing countries.
- A Master’s-level degree in Social Sciences, or a relevant field to the programme, from an accredited university.
- Oral and written fluency in English.
Desirable skills and qualifications:
- Willingness and ability to work in remote locations.
