Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop a Volunteer Program to engage staff in community and bank led citizenship initiatives

 Job Title: Head Legal & Compliance


Job Summary
The Head Legal & Compliance will be expected to be responsible for the effective and efficient management of the Legal department, provision of legal advisory services and ensuring effective management of legal and contractual risks.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and ensure efficient and effective management of staff and resources in the Legal department.
  • Review and provide legal advice on tender documents.
  • Review ongoing cases and advice management accordingly.
  • Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate courses of action have been taken.
  • Provide legal protection and risk management advice to management especially on contract management.
  • Provide and interpret legal information, conduct training and disseminate appropriate legal requirements to staff.
  • Review and advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.
  • Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements.

Job Requirements
  • LLB undergraduate degree
  • Minimum of 8 years legal experience in a reputable organization, with extensive experience in contract negotiation and drafting

 Job Title: Head Internal Control & Audit 

Job Summary
The Head Internal Control and Audit will be expected to is responsible for planning, executing and reporting on operational, financial, regulatory and compliance related audits/reviews of the organization.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Build strong awareness in branch staff on all policy and procedures issues; zero tolerance for open general ledger Items, un-reviewed transactions and income leakages
  • Call over of Transactions as per the approved threshold.
  • Review of expense and cash advances and ensure conformity with laid-down policies.
  • Carrying out security sweep at least once in a month.
  • Ensure complete and accurate recognition of all fees and charges on every relevant account.
  • Review of Fixed Asset Register
  • Review KYC compliance.
  • Carrying out spot checks and review of activities in the branches under coverage, cash count and vault administration, funds transfer, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures
Job Requirements
  • BSc in accounting, finance or related field.
  • 8 years of experience in internal and/or external audit environment, with audit experience of public sector or similar organization.
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
  • Ability to deploy large amounts of data and to gather detailed reports.
  • Must be able to demonstrate outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have supervisory skills to properly guide, encourage and monitor audit staff and student audit interns.
  • Must possess knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.

 Job Title: Managing Director 

Job Summary
Ideal candidate will be reporting to the board and the Group Managing Director in establishing sustainable operating systems; developing program policies, rules and procedures; financial planning and management planning for institution
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • To manage the operating-capital and on-lending funds
  • To develop yearly expansion plans and targets with respect to loan disbursements and financial viability
  • Supervising, monitoring and evaluating program activities, staff performance, loan and savings performance, and budgets
  • To monitor branch budgets and progress against targets
  • To supervise the work of departmental heads and staff members on weekly meetings, loan approval and disbursements, loan utilization and effective implementation.
  • To foster collaboration with other microcredit programs and NGOs, commercial banks, government agencies and donors to promote the work of the program
Job Requirements
  • A good first degree or MSC/MBA in Finance, management, economics, development and other related fields.
  • A minimum of Fifteen (15) years’ experience in banking which includes at least 5 years management experience in foremost microfinance banks
  • Must be CIBN Qualified
  • Organizational, planning, management and leadership skills
  • Adequate knowledge of the banking industry in relation to Microfinance bank
  • Certificate in Microfinance Banking will be an added advantage
