Medium sized communications agency seeks community manger to work on one of its clients.
The community manager will be responsible for monitoring and moderating user-generated content and discussions to ensure the online community remains a safe and fun environment for teenage girls. The role coordinates with the Content Manager to ensure that all content and discussion on the platform adheres to the strategy and principles of the client.

Requirements
- Must be fluent in English & Hausa (both spoken and written)
- Strong writing skills in English and Hausa
- Working operational knowledge and understanding of online community platform moderation tools (Forums, Blogs, Photo Uploads, Commenting etc.)
- Experience with online content moderation
- Good knowledge of popular culture and online trends
- Ability to effectively communicate information and report statistics
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills, and a proactive approach
Responsibilities
- Implement the community moderation strategy, coordinating with team members to ensure its effectiveness and providing superior support to the community with the help of various communication tools
- Review and moderate all user-generated content on the platform, including submissions, comments and user profiles, to ensure it is in line with established guidelines
- Review and moderate all user-generated content on all social media pages
- Flag any inappropriate language/comments and positively engage users who violate guidelines
- Identify and escalate more serious offences to the team lead
- Encourage users to engage by posting comments and content
- Respond to questions about posted topics and/or direct users to other resources as necessary
- Regularly feedback insight gained from community moderation to project lead and strategy team
