Job Title: Supervisor, Regulatory Services

Reporting Line: Senior Manager, Legal & Regulatory
Responsibilities
- Identify, manage and foster long term relationship with relevant regulatory bodies (such as NCC, NPA, DPR, NOTAP, Federal, State and Local authorities e.t.c)
- Manage, advise and proffer practical solution to the Company’s regulatory risks
- Ensure regulatory compliance with appropriate licencing and permit obligations and directions through regulatory engagements;
- Keep abreast and analyze all local and international legislation, regulations, guidelines and regulatory developments in the telecommunication industry impacting on the business;
- Ensure and foster effective governmental, regulatory stakeholder management and engagement to protect and boost the Company’s interest;
- Build effective working relationships within the Company and between the Company and regulatory stakeholders to support commercial decisionmaking;
- Influence policy formulation through submission of constructive legal opinions, position papers and active participation at regulatory forum and meetings in the telecommunication industry;
- Collaborate and facilitate crossfunctional decision-making relating to regulatory activities among the units in the legal department;
- Interface with law enforcement agencies concerning issues of security and investigations;
- Manage assigned projects to completion;
- Coordinate, manage, develop and motivate the team in regulatory and government affairs unit, setting & monitoring clear objectives in line with functional and business goals;
- Manages inter-functional relations to ensure synergy across the various departmental functions in the Company.
- Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits on the regulatory compliance of the Company’s activities;
- Ensure all legal objectives are met;
- Other responsibilities that may arise
Supervisor:
- To work directly under the supervision of the Senior Manager, Legal & Regulatory Department
Contact:
- You will be required to liaise and interface with other groups/departments as well as vendors, regulatory bodies, customers etc
Competencies Required:
- Thorough understanding of the laws and regulations of the telecommunications and ICT industries;
- Experience with the regulatory framework in Nigeria and Ghana
- Exceptional judgment and strong initiative;
- Strong inter-personal skills and a teamwork-oriented attitude.
- Proven ability to effectively juggle competing priorities;
- Candidate must be able to work under pressure with keen attention to detail;
- Excellent organizational skills and possess the ability to interact effectively with other attorneys and staff, diverse inhouse client groups, senior executives, opposing counsel and outside personnel;
- Ability to interact effectively with business and technical clients in a fast-paced environment;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Qualifications
- LLB; B.L law; LLM is an added advantage
- 6 – 8 years Post NYSC experience

- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Reliability, rigour, team-spirit, service oriented and initiative in the execution of the assigned work

Responsibilities
- The Legal Supervisor will coordinate legal operations in Main One group across multiple jurisdictions. He/she shall be responsible for reviewing all commercial transactions, vendor and supplier contracts, compliance matters, company secretarial matters and risk matters
- Review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial legal agreements for the
- Company’s products and services, inclusive of master services agreements, sales agreements, service level agreement etc.
- Review and negotiate legal agreements for the Company’s vendor and supplier transactions including purchase agreements, third party service agreements, interconnection agreements, professional service agreements etc.
- Provide legal advice on corporate and commercial legal matters.
- Provide internal advisory services to the business units and departments within the Company.
- Supervise the compliance functions of the department inclusive of monitoring the registers and other records required to be maintained by the Company under the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA); as well as identifying and ensuring compliance with statutory and contractual obligations.
- Assist the Manager Legal & Company
- company secretarial functions including attending meetings of the Company, providing all necessary secretarial support services in respect of the meetings with the applicable rules and regulations, monitoring the rendering of all statutory returns and giving notification to the Corporate Affairs Commission as required under CAMA.
- Manage the contract management process of the department including the keeping of contract records, contractual obligations and terms for the purpose of compliance, required filing and updates of contractual records.
- Manage and liaise with external solicitors, update litigation lists and database, and provide regular updates.
- Provide all such other administrative and other secretarial duties as directed by the Legal Counsel & Company Secretary
Supervisor:

- Exceptional judgment and strong initiative;
- Strong inter-personal skills and a teamwork-oriented attitude.
- Proven ability to effectively juggle competing priorities;
- Candidate must be able to work under pressure with keen attention to detail;
- Excellent organizational skills and possess the ability to interact effectively with other attorneys and staff, diverse in-house client groups, senior executives, opposing counsel and outside personnel;
- Ability to interact effectively with business and technical clients in a fast-paced environment;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
Qualifications
- Must have first degree (LLB. BL); LLM is an added advantage
- 6- 8 years Post NYSC experience
