The Governing Council of the University of Maiduguri, invites applications from suitable qualified candidates for the vacant post below in the Bursary Department:

Job Title: Bursar

Location: Borno.

The Position

• The Bursar shall be the Chief Financial Officer of the University and shall be responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day to day administration and control of the financial affairs of the University.

Requirements

• B Sc (Accounting) Degree from a recognized University or its equivalent.
• Interested candidates have any of the following professional accounting certificates: ACCT, NNA, ACMA or CPA.
• At least fifteen (15) years post qualification experience, Ten (10) of which must be in the Bursary Department of a recognized University.

Conditions of Service

• The successful candidate for the Post of Bursar shall be placed on a consolidated salary of the Bursar and shall be entitled to privileges of a Principal Officer of the University.

Age

• Interested candidates should not be more than sixty (60) years old at time of assumption of duty.

Tenure

• The successful candidate shall hold office for a single term of five (5) years only beginning from the effective date of appointment.
