Job Description
As Tax Leader you will be responsible and oversee all direct tax aspects including but not limited to:
– Local regulatory requirements
– Support business (advisory role) in local and cross border tax matters
– Provide tax advice and counsel to IBM management and business
– Review contract proposals and provide tax position in association with the regional and worldwide tax functions
– Track legislative changes and pro-actively inform the local management, finance and regional tax function
– Manage tax aspects of acquisitions and divestitures
– Corporate Income Tax (CIT) compliance matters
– Prepare and review tax returns and tax payments
– Provide guidance to IBM’s Accounting function on tax adjustments (permanent/timing)
– Tax audit coordination / relationship with Tax Authorities
– Proactive identification of weaknesses in the process and identification of solutions
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
– Fluent English and German
– Formal Tax education
– 3 years of experience as a direct tax professional in a multinational corporation
– Excellent communication skills
– Strong business acumen
– Risk awareness in tax matters
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
– 8 years of experience as a direct tax professional in a multinational corporation
