Job Title: Business Development Executive

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • A technology company urgently needs the services of a qualified Business Development Executive.
  • The preferred candidate should be business driven with a background in Information Technology.
  • The business development executive is responsible for bringing in new business for the company through a variety of sales techniques.

Qualifications

  • A Degree in Business Administration or related course from a tertiary institution, possession of MBA is an advantage
  • Previous business experience ideally from an Information Technology organisation
  • Proven track record of bringing in new business and a natural ability to drive sales.
  • Must be self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in business model generation
  • Applicants for the roles above should have at least 2 years experience.

Duties

  • Generating business leads and following up on sales opportunities.
  • Cold calling potential customers and building relationships.
  • Establishing customer needs and selling products accordingly.
  • Arranging meetings with clients and carrying out product demonstrations.
  • Following up swiftly on sales enquiries and sending out information.
  • Working closely with other teams to develop new business.
  • Researching the market and identifying potential target customers.
  • Attending industry events to generate business leads.
  • Undertaking research to support the Business Development Manager in identifying new lead opportunities.
  • Researching & delivering intelligence that will inform development of new projects
  • Working with colleagues to help in the development of existing and new services that increase value to clients and, therefore increase the number of opportunities for business.
  • Developing propositions, presentations and reports, as required by the Business Development Manager or Senior Management Team
