Job Title: Secretary: Information Management and Management Support
Main Responsibilities:
- To contribute, under the supervision of the head of unit, in assisting the management in daily secretarial tasks such as agenda, meeting & VIP visits organisation, contacts management, and writing formal correspondence
- Participates to implementing of all information management projects or programs linked to information management, in delegation and sub-sites Ensures that users understand the need for changes and supports these changes and trains users on regular basis.
- Shares responsibility with the head of unit to ensure that all staff have proper and timely access to the information and documents they need. In charge of sending and receiving mail in the delegation. Makes sure all sub-sites follow the standard procedures while preparing and sending mail.
- Contributes to ensuring that rules for correspondence, document security, archiving and good usage of standard computer technology are properly followed and implemented. Train users on regular basis.
- Makes sure that the stationery comply with the applicable visual identity rules and is responsible for keeping stock.
- Contributes to create a conducive environment within the management support team, as well as to problem solving whenever necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- ŸFirst degree (bachelor or equivalent) in a related field.
- ŸExcellent knowledge of secretarial work.
- Ÿ1-2 years of professional experience in similar work.
- ŸExcellent written and oral English.
- ŸReporting and analytical skills
- ŸVery good knowledge of standard computer and other office equipment such as Microsoft Office; knowledge of sharepoint is an asset but not necessary
- ŸKnowledge of diplomatic protocol is an asset

Job Title: Protection Field Officer
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the implementation of Protection (mainly Restoring Family Links) activities in her/ his Area of Responsibility(AoR)
- Participates in the analysis of the security situation and humanitarian issues.
- Identifies protection problems and ensures proper treatment of enquiries following family separation, violations of International Humanitarian Law and other humanitarian consequences of the conflict, violence or natural disasters
- Participates in networking and dialogue with relevant interlocutors, ensures interaction with other departments (Assistance, Prevention and Cooperation), Sub-delegations and offices, the Nigeria Red Cross Society and other external contacts.
- Contributes to the reporting of violent incidents and Health Care in Danger incidents tables.
- Acts as a source of information in the AoR for Communication, Cooperation departments and Management or Delegates. Advises, and guides them in their networking activities.
Required Qualifications:
- University degree in a relevant field, preferably in the field of law
- 4 years experience in the Protection/Tracing with very good command of the Prot6 software
- Excellent written and spoken English, Hausa, Kanuri (Shuaa-Arab and French an asset)
- Good computer skills: knowledge in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Represents the organization properly with different level of interlocutors.
- Sound analytical skills, Good knowledge of the Area of Responsibility – AoR (Political, cultural and geographical)
- Driving License and succeeded in ICRC Driving test

- Very good communication and inter-personal skills: ability to deal with people respectfully and showing empathy towards others (colleagues, beneficiaries, authorities)

- Able to work under pressure; flexible and open to extra working hours if necessary
- Capacity to carry out activities and manage files of importance in the field of ICRC PROT activities (RFL, PCP and Missing).

- Ability to keep discretion and handling confidential matters effectively
- Sound capacity to strictly apply ICRC rules and procedures
- Adaptability and capacity to integrate changes and deal with important volume of work
- Punctual, reliable, confirmed organizational skills
