Job Title: Graphic Designer

What We’re Looking For
 

  • We are seeking a thoughtful and talented graphic designer to join our growing team.
  • We are a group of highly energetic and creative individuals who strive to create high-quality, innovative content in an ever-evolving field.
  • The graphic designer position is responsible for creating, supporting, and art directing all visual content and designs.
  • While reporting to the Chief Innovation Officer, this position will have creative freedom and be responsible for managing his/her work and relationships with the team.

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to 
Design a wide variety of content, including: 

  • Notebooks, brochures, calendars, digital ads, annual reports, infographics, data visualizations, e-books and more
  • Thoughtfully integrate writing and design to create the best visual stories and experience.
  • Help drive content strategy by providing feedback into creative briefs and contributing ideas throughout the creative process
  • Communicate directly with internal stakeholders to successfully and efficiently meet the deliverable requirements of a project
  • Partner with web developers to create responsive mini-sites and landing pages
  • Continuously discover and share found inspiration and new industry best practices to maximize efficiency and creativity
  • Manage multiple projects and remain flexible through revisions while keeping a keen attention to detail
  • Take direction from creative briefs and collaborate with the team to create strategic content that fulfills our business goals
  • Eloquently present and defend design work.

Requirements 
Things that should be in your background: 

  • Minimum 3 years of design experience (Agency/print production experience is an advantage)
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Typography& illustration skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to find creative, unorthodox solutions to complex challenges
  • Collaborative, team-player mentality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient understanding of multimedia design
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS
  • Creative problem solving skills, conceptual thinking and a strong portfolio
  • Time management skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Openness to feedback and willingness to take direction
  • Ability to assert ideas, take initiative and drive projects.

Other Attributes that are an Advantage: 

  • Content marketing and/or content design experience
  • Experience working with writers and editors
  • Ability to work with and direct web developers
  • Illustration skills
  • Data visualization experience and/or solid math skills
  • Calm, flexible and able to work under pressure or with short deadlines

Personal Assistant/Marketing Officer
Location: Lagos
Job Description

  • The Personal Assistant/Marketing officer will provide wide range administration and marketing support.
  • This exciting role requires an effective communicator, with clear, concise and articulate communication skills (verbal, written and listening), who posses the ability to prioritize and complete a variety of tasks quickly with little or no guidance.

  • The successful candidate will act as a liaison, problem solver, and facilitator as the first contact for the executive

Responsibilities 

  • Provide administrative support and coordinate the flow of information and materials as needed.
  • Market company solutions and deliver a minimum of 30 notebook orders monthly.
  • Assist in the development of marketing and business development strategies for the company.
  • Manage the executive’s calendar, which includes anticipating needs and proactively adjusting schedules and arrangements as needed.
  • Respond to requests for information and meetings in a timely and pro-active way, having consideration for overall commitments.
  • Efficiently and proactively deal with all communications to ensure items are brought to the CEO’s attention at the appropriate time.
  • Organize events and meetings, video conference and conference calls as required, confirming attendance, arranging hospitality, preparing and issuing both agenda and minutes.
  • Coordinates domestic and international travel arrangements and accommodations by developing itineraries and agendas, book air and ground transportation and arrange accommodation.
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts of all levels.
  • Track and help drive completion of key deliverables and follow up on outstanding items.
  • Prepare documentation including formatting and editing letters, reports and presentations all all other correspondence.
  • Monitor transactions, budgets and summaries and prepare basic financial reports.

Qualifications and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 2 years working experience in a business environment, supporting senior executives.
  • High level of proficiency is required in the use of Microsoft office Suite applications. (i.e. `MS Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and MS outlook).
  • Advanced level PowerPoint preferred with solid experience in developing presentation
  • An MBA is an added advantage and it’s a big plus if you have experience or interest in PR, Marketing or Business development.
  • (People without a Degree, who meet most other criteria and have over 5 years related work experience are welcome to apply)
  • A love of reading and all things books.

Skills and Abilities: 

  • Ability to perform and communicate in a highly professional and effective manner, in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to work with and process confidential information with discretion and tact.
  • Understanding of advertising, marketing and how to communicate in a digital age, with Social media and digital communications skills on lock
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, relaxed and confident in leasing with individuals at all levels.
  • Proven self-starter, able to take on emergent tasks with demonstrated ability to make decisions based on solid analysis and interpretation.
  • Professional business presence and keen understanding of business concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability o take initiative, anticipate needs of the executive and exercise independent and sound judgment
  • Ability to provide and maintain the highest standards of service for all clients.
  • Detail oriented with superb organizational skills and the ability to complete work assignments with a high degree of quality.
  • Relaxed and confident in liaising with individuals at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, responsibilities and work flexible hours.
  • History of creative problem solving , analytical skills , ability to work well independently, collaboratively and under pressure
  • Clear, concise and articulate communication skills – verbal, written and listening
  • Demonstrated passion for continuous learning, improvement and best practices
