Job Title: Human Resource Mobility Officer
Location: FCT, Abuja
Duration: Full Time 
Job Summary 

  • The HR Mobility Officer will be reporting to the HR-Head of Department.
  • He/She will provide HR support to Action Against Hunger Nigeria HR Department in managing administrative procedures.
  • Representing the organization when liaising with local administration including,
  • The management and coordination of staff security.

Requirements 
The Successful Candidate Will Have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in international relations, HR, Business Administration or related field of study from a recognized institution.
  • 3 years’ work experience with at least 1 year in a related role.
  • Understanding of national labor law and employment norms and practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, highly organized, rigorous, self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility, ability to work independently.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Capacity for analysis, synthesis and reporting of large amount of information.
  • Commitment to Action Against Hunger charter and values.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Approachable, diplomatic, able to work effectively in diverse, cross-cultural teams in a complex, multi-site work environment.
  • Computer literacy including all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook).
  • An understanding of the relevant ministries and local authorities, and their procedures.
  • Commitment to humanitarian work.

Job Title: Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Deputy Program Manager
Location
Damaturu, Yobe
Job Summary 

  • Following the direction of the WASH Program Manager, the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Deputy Program Manager (WASH DPM) will be based in Damaturu Office.
  • The WASH DPM will be responsible for running and supervising sanitation and hygiene plus NFIs programs at all stages of the project management cycle.
  • He/she will also be responsible for accomplishing the program objectives and outcomes within the contextual constraints.
  • The DPM ensures the WASH (PHP/NFI) team completes the defined activities while adhering to internal standards and contractual obligations.
  • The WASH DPM also has responsibilities regarding capacity building of staff; shaping and evolving a social behavioral change and communication strategy for hygiene and sanitation promotions, humanitarian needs identification through needs assessments, monitoring of the evolving situation; context analysis to contribute to the development of future programs and internal coordination.

Requirements
The Successful Candidate Will Have: 

  • A Degree in Public Health or equivalent in a field related to Water, Sanitation and Hygiene and or training/courses specific to WASH in development contexts (such as Bio force Institute graduates) + minimum of 5 years of working experience.
  • Applied skills on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene projects management.
  • Interpersonal skills (team management, communication, reporting, autonomy, pedagogy, planning and organizational skills).
  • Commitment to Action Against Hunger mission, values and policy.
  • Experience in the International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) and Humanitarian context.
  • Experience in Personnel Management and administration.
