General Eligibility and Entry Requirements
- Only candidate who took the last 2016/2017 UTME Examination, scored not less than 180 and chose lmo State University are eligible to apply.
- Such candidates must prossess at least five credits in either SSCE, WASC, GCE, NECO, NABTEB, obtained at not more than two sittings, or any other certificate recognized by the University.
- Candidate with good ‘A’ level papers, NCE or Diploma certificates may be admitted into the Direct Entry Programmes, in their areas of specialization.
- HND Holders with 9 point and above may be admitted into the 3rd year of the programme (Teaching practice result does not form part of the points).
- In addition to these general requirements, candidates must meet up with the Departmental requirements in their programme of choice.
Entry Requirements for Courses Offered In the Faculty of Education
- Edu/Accountancy: Credit passes in English language, Mathematics, and Economics and two (2) others.
- Edu/Econs: Credit passes in English language, Mathematics, and Economics and two (2) others
- Edu/Govemment: Credit pass in English Language, Mathematics, Government or History and two (2) others.
- Edu/Social Studies: Credit passes in English Language and any of Government, History or Social Studies.
- Edu/Library Science: Five (5)’O’ level credite pass in English Language, Mathematics, and (3) other relevant subjects.
- Edu/English Studies: Credit pass in English language, Literature in English, and (3) other relevant subjects.
- Edu/History: Five (5) ‘O’ level credit pass in English language, Government, History and three (3) others.
- Edu/Religion: Five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes in English language, CRK, Government and three (3) others.
- Edu/Guidance/Counselling: Credit pass in Five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, and Biology and 2 others.
- Edu/Igbo: Credit pass in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, and lgbo plus others.
- Edu/Management and Planning: Credit pass in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics and 3 others.
- Health Education: Credit pass in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Biology and 2 other science subjects.
- Edu/Biology: Credit pass in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Biology and 2 other science subjects.
- Edu/Chemistry: Credit pass in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and 2 other science subjects.
- Edu/Mathematics: Credit pass in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics and 3 other science subjects.
- Edu/Computer Science: Credit pass in five including English Language, Mathematics, and 3 other science subjects.
Entry Requirements for Degree Programmes in the following Disciplines
- B.Sc. Accountancy: Credit pass in five subjects including English, Mathematics and Economics plus 2others.
- B.Sc. Banking and Finance: Credit pass in five subjects including English, Mathematics, Economics, and 2 others.
- B.Sc. Economic: Credit pass in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Economic and 2 others.
- B.Sc. Management: Credit passes including English, Mathematics, Economics and 2 others.
- B.Sc. Marketing: Credit pass in five subjects including English, Mathematics, Economics and 2 others.
- B.Sc. Sociology & Anthropology: Credit pass in five ordinary level subjects including English Language, Government/History, Mathematics and two others.
- B.Sc. Phychology: Credit pass in five subjects including. English Language, Biology/Health Science plus at least a credit in Mathematics.
- B.Sc. Government/Public Administration: Credit pass in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Government or History and 2 others.
- B.Sc. Mass Communication: Credit pass in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, English Literature and 2 others.
- English Language & Literature: Credit pass in five WASCE, SSCEIGCE, ‘O’ level subjects including English Language, English Literature and any other three others.
- Lingulistics/lgbo: Five credit pass at the WASCE, SSCE or GCE O’level including English and lgbo Language. A level pass in two subjects including lgbo or lgbo combination with merit level pass.
- BA. History & InternatIonal Studies: Credit pass in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Government or History and 2 others.
- B.Sc. Environmental Health Biology: Credit pass in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Biology and 2 other science subjects.
- B.Sc. Environmental Health and Safety: Credit pass in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics and 3 other science subjects.
- B.Sc. Computer Science: Credit pass in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics, 3 other science subjects.
- B.Sc. Insurance and Actuarial Science: Credit pass in five subjects including English Language, Mathematics and 3 other subjects.

Application Procedure
- Access to the website will be granted through the purchase of a scratch card sold at IMSU MICROFINANCE at the cost of the eight thousand, five hundred (N8,500.00)
- Candidates must ensure that their names and the order in which they appear in the ICEP Register for sale of Application forms correspond with what they fill in the online Application Forms.
- In other words, candidates’ names must appear in the same order in the online Application Forms, envelope, receipts, ICEP sale of forms record book, etc.
- This is the order to be used in processing certificates and other documents. Application for change of name shall not be entertained after admission.
Candidate are to return all duly completed Application forms along with one self-addressed and stamped envelope measuring 22cm x 10cm and certified photocopies of academic and professional qualifications to:

Candidate must indicate the intended course of study at the bottom left corner of the envelope. For example “B.Sc Accountancy or B.Sc. Govt/Pub. Admin”
Note
- Application Forms received after the closing date may not be honoured.
- Candidates are advised in their own interest to study the forms or possibly the model book guilde(s) carefully before completing the application forms.
- All ICEP programmes are for now organized only in the University Campus.
- Attach photocopy of the online slip and return to the Institute on (1) Passport Photograph with your name and address boldly written at the back.
- Attach photocopies of all your documents (do not presume that some of the documents available to you are not relevant when they may be of an added advantage to you in the admission exercise.
- On no account will a candidate be offered admission without first and foremost obtaining the E-registration form and possibly completing it online using the guide.
- Candidates who are awaiting the result of the immediate past May/June, WAEC or GCE examinations are eligible to apply for admission.
- Candidates who will sit for a May/June or GCE examinations by the time application forms are to be processed are not eligible to apply.
- Candidates who did not take JAMB are above 25 years and are qualified as per certifIcate, may apply.
- This set of Candidates must accompany their application with an undertaking that, after their graduation, they will not seek for:
- NYSC Mobilization
- NYSC Exemption Certificate
- NYSC exclusion Certificate
- People who have their First Degree and or HND can apply for change of degree/Area of specialization.
