Job Title: Channel Manager

  • Responding to market dynamics and recommending measures to increase sales
  • Tracking and reviewing channel partner activities 


Job Description

Looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of Channel Manager in Lagos.  Successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Acquisition, management and retention of SME/SMB’s directly and indirectly through channel partners
  • Third party channel management
  • Facilitating and coordinating the recruitment, training and development of Field Sales Agents 
  • Market and Competitor analysis. Monitoring the activities of competition in our target market and customer segment
  • Coordinating with learning and development and Marketing for product, process and behavioural training of Field Sales employees and Channel Partners 
  • Performance management. Target allocation and communication across Channel Partners and Field Sales Agents
  • Ensuring appropriate branding is carried out by all active outlets within the territory
  • Identify opportunities for branding within the territory 

Major Challenges:

  • Managing and monitoring Channel Partners
  • Expanding our acquisitions drive and retaining accounts
  • Creatig visibility of Airtel products and services
  • Expanding SME/SMB sales coverage by appointing new channel partners

Requirements
Applicants must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or similar discipline
  • 3-5 years work experience preferably in FMCG, Consumables and/or Telecom
  • 3 -5 years experience in managing Sales, Channel or Key Accounts
  • Strong communication, writing and people skills
  • Very good interpersonal skills.
  • Sound analytical skills
  • Customer centric
  • Good presentation skills
