 Job Title: Civil Technician
Location: Lagos
Summary
  • We are looking for an innovative Civil engineer to develop and construct a high-rise building apartment / Office type range of projects of the physically and naturally built environment from conception through to completion.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical and geologic data to plan projects.
  • Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
  • Maintaining quality of civil works, construction works, Maintain billing work, Contractor Billing, site billing etc.
  • Contractor Management and Day to Day Construction Supervision and monitoring of quality control;
  • Checking of materials for quality and quantity and ensure they meet specifications;
  • Applicant should have knowledge of RCC work like foundations, column, roof slabs and brick works
  • Review of plans and specifications for the proper construction and quality implementation at job site.
  • Direct or participate in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction.
  • Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
  • Test soils and materials to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, or steel.
  • Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs to industrial and managerial personnel.
  • Conduct studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess the potential impact of projects
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Daily report and reporting to higher Managers / Superior
Qualifications
  • Degree/HND in Civil Engineering or Engineering
  • Membership of professional bodies such as COREN, NSE would be added advantage
  • Minimum 4 years’ post NYSC experience in Industrial, Residential / Multistoried Building construction work in Steel Structure i.e. Pre-engineered / pre fabricated buildings on turnkey basis with experience in Civil works
  • Proven work experience in Multi Storey / High Rise Building construction site.
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulation laws and quality standards
  • Experience in reinforced concrete construction is a must.
  • Experience in piling
  • Proficiency in primavera, Orion, MS-Project

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

  • Work with the Project Management team in measuring progress and assist in carrying out neutral financial checks on all site activities, Preparation of Minutes of Meetings and site report.
Requirements
Qualifications/Attainments:
  • HND, B.Sc in Quantity Surveying
  • Professional Qualification i.e., MNSE, MNIQS, RQS, PMP.
Relevant Experience:
  •  Min 12 years Quantity surveying experience in a Construction Project Environment.
  • Ability to conduct studies of feasibility to estimate costs relating to materials, time and Labour.
  • Ability to prepare financial statement in a format that conforms to international standard.

  • Preparation of Project Report for correct and Timely information for the Progress of work

Job Title: Planner/Scheduler
Location
: Lagos
Summary of Role
  • Develop and maintain the Project schedule in accordance with Grid scheduling guidelines
  • Develop and implement scheduling tools, methods and process in accordance with Grid scheduling guidelines
  • Implement Integration of engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning schedules into the overall schedule
  • Manage schedules interfaces with contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Provide timely updates of contract schedules through project execution and/or functional groups as required.
  • Monitor schedule performance, give warnings to anticipate any deviation and propose corrective action plan to fit the baseline schedule (provide scenarios or “what if analysis” to optimize the schedule).
  • Implement and timely update project time scheduling KPIs and Reports (including S-curves, progress and Planning Review reports…), as per contract and internal requirements.
  • Organize/lead timely Planning Reviews with project team, to share all schedules issues and define/validate mitigation plan.
  • Keeps an as-built schedule depicting a comparison of the original baseline versus the actual execution identifying project specific reasons for contractually sensitive deviations
  • Manage project resources and workload throughout the Time Schedule
Qualifications/ Attainments
  • HND, B.Sc in Engineering or related areas of study
  • Professional Qualification i.e. COREN, MNSE, MNIQS, RQS.
Relevant Experience:
  • 12 years post qualification experience.
  • Previous technical experience as a Planner/Scheduler in Oil and Gas industry
  • Project control functions related to life-cycle schedule planning, creation, execution, control and maintenance for a portfolio of projects.
  • Experience in EPC projects
  • Transmission and distribution experience
Skills and Competences:
  • Good knowledge of planning tools (MS Project and/or Primavera).
  • Skilled in the use of Material Requirements Planning (MRP)Excel, Excel Pivot Tables, Power Point, Word, as well as SharePoint
  • Knowledge of project material management.
  • CPM (Critical Path Method) Scheduling
  • Ability of WBS (Work Breakdown Structure)
