Job Title: Reports Communication Officer

Location: Yaba, Lagos

What You Will Do

  • Support the production of adhoc analyses, data modeling and information requests
  • Ensure that information and data is captured, documented, analyzed and reported in a results-based and timely manner
  • With input from the Project Director and Program Managers, help produce high quality quarterly, mid-year and annual program progress reports as per contracting requirements
  • Provide thorough progress reporting, continuous analysis of achievements, facilitate project review, evaluation and audits
  • Ensure the maintenance of sound filing system and appropriate use and recording of all project experience, activities and results
  • Assist all components of the programme in producing and documenting all kinds of programme related reports
  • Undertake field visits to gather the information and results related to the programme
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Director as per need of the programme

Qualifications & requirements
Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the social sciences with a Master’s degree will be an advantage

Experience:

  • Five years relevant working experience.
  • S/he should have an extensive experience in financial analyses, communication, reporting, documentation and material preparation in relation to education and development fields.
  • S/he should possess excellent writing, editing, and speaking skills.
  • S/he should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Computer Skills:

  • S/he must be an advanced user of  MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Programming knowledge is a plus.

Job Title: Training Manager

What you will do

  • Understanding the needs of Nigerian teacher trainees and providing thorough feedback to the content team and work with them to contextualize our global training content to Nigeria.
  • Hiring and training our training associates who will execute the teacher – training program.
  • Developing a facilitator – training program and materials including videos, manuals, professional development sessions etc. and videos.
  • Training, coaching and supporting to new facilitators as they begin new roles.
  • Observing and appraising facilitators according to the Bridge Training criteria for presentation skills and group management.
  • Overseeing the execution of each training to ensure that all sessions and activities are executed as planned.
  • Working closely with the administration, HR, technology and other departments to ensure that the training runs smoothly and that all trainee needs are met.
  • Working closely with the operations teams to understand hiring needs and implementing the selection process at training to make hiring decisions.
  • Documenting and addressing all trainee concerns and questions.
  • Evaluating training and creating a detailed report at the conclusion of each training.
  • Giving suggestions, ideas and feedback with an aim to improve the training program
  • Providing on- going training for serving teachers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum of two years of teaching experience with proven track record of achieving high academic outcomes with pupils.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in teacher training or school leadership.
  • Management and Supervisory Experience is Significant.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint required.

Job Title: Warehouse Manager

Location:

 Lagos

What You Will Do
Warehouse operations management:

  • Oversight of the entire warehouse operation. Oversight of all receipts and dispatches to all user departments.

Cost Management:

  • Overall responsibility of the efficient management of costs associated with the warehouse.
  • The warehouse manager is required to ensure that we are utilizing the warehouse space as efficiently as possible at all times and that all costs related to the operation (utilities, administrative items, consumables) are efficiently used to reduce costs.
  • Additionally, the warehouse manager is required to continuously evaluate the productivity of every team member in the warehouse to ensure that we keep our labor costs under control.

Quality assurance:

  • The warehouse manager is responsible for the quality of all items that are dispatched to the user departments and is to ensure that the items meet the specs provided by the user in quantity as well as in quality.

Supervision and mentorship of staff:

  • The warehouse manager must provide leadership to the team by 1) ensuring that every staff member has a detailed job description 2) managing leaves in liaison with HR 3)compiling bonuses and overtime claims 4)handling all disciplinary issues and corrective measures in liaison with HR.
  • The warehouse manager will also provide mentorship to the staff by 1) organizing relevant trainings for the staff 2) Continually measuring staff performance against set goals and KPIs and 3) developing the staff in line with their capabilities and interests and the goals of the organization.

Stock management:

  • The warehouse manager is responsible for the efficient management of warehouse stock by ensuring that all physical stock balances match the stock balances reflected in the ERP.
  • All variances in the stock balances should be investigated and reported to finance for correction.

Process:

  • Responsible for the formulation of all Standard Operating Procedures to be followed in the warehouse.
  • The warehouse manager is also responsible for training the supervisory staff in the SOPs so that they can in turn train all the warehouse staff.
  • Ensure that all Navision is continually updated to reflect the true picture of the warehouse operations at all times.

Reporting:

  • Providing consistent daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on the warehouse operations to the Supply Chain Manager and all other interested parties.

Overall Custody of all Warehouse Assets:

  • The warehouse manager is to ensure that all safety and security procedures are in place and that all the relevant staff are trained on the same to prevent damage, loss or injury.
  • The warehouse manager should also ensure that the warehouse is always in compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.

What You Should Have

  • Minimum of 6 to 10 years’ experience in full lifecycle procurement management preferably for a large fast growing service or trading organization with multiple procurement requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Professional qualifications in purchasing and supplies management (Preferred)
  • An expert level of knowledge in Supply chain management including, but not limited to warehouse management, logistics management and procurement
  • Ability to quickly learn and improve systems
  • Technical competence in MS Office
  • Experience working with an ERP (Experience working with NAVISION will be an added advantage)

Job Ttle: Area Manager

Job Summary

What you will do
Bridge ensures efficient management of its schools through a schools organizational structure that divides schools into regions and territories and assigns management oversight of each region to one supervisor. An area manager is responsible for the management of a group of schools and area managers report to a regional manager who in turn is responsible for the success of that school region or territory. The schools are situated in various communities across the state in Nigeria to which you are assigned. As area manager, you will:

  • Work closely with a large group of schools in your territory to ensure that they are operating at the highest levels across operations, instruction and finance. 
  • Area Managers completely own (and therefore are accountable for) the performance metrics of all of the Schools in your territory, as measured by financial, operational and instructional benchmarks.  
  • This role requires a constant presence at the Schools and close interaction with each School Head, as well as Teachers, to ensure that there is continuous bi-directional communication and coaching.
  • In addition to interactions with schools, the Area Manager is expected to build close relationships with the local and state level government officials, the traditional and local community leaders, and Parents of the children in the school to promote the importance of education, garner support for the school and education ministry’s activities as it relates to their children and to keep a constant monitor on their feedback.
  • Travel: Must travel on a daily basis via public means to Schools in your region.  Depending on region, Area Managers may spend as many as 15 nights per month away from home to meet the travel demands of the territory.

Requirements

  • Dynamic, articulate, organized with an attention to detail. Must be passionate about following processes and procedures, and be extremely data-driven.
  • Must care about education and schooling in general. Experience in low cost education environments or in the public schooling environment is an advantage. 
  • Capable of a consultative, coaching and mentoring approach to help School Heads improve their performance, but also capable of taking a commanding “no-nonsense” approach to enforce the desired actions as necessary.

Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

Location: Yaba, Lagos

What you will do

  • Create extensive audits – primarily in Survey-to-Go software, to be used by Quality Assurance team
  • Conduct first level analyses of audits conducted by Quality Assurance team to identify key issues/trends to be resolved based on data gathered
  • Create regular written summary and detailed reports of Quality Assurance audits, issues, resolutions and recommendations
  • Create periodic presentations on Quality assurance activities to State Program director and other stakeholders as required
  • Follow up with applicable Bridge managers in the affected functions to ensure resolution of identified issues in a timely manner
  • Manage a field team of over 20 Quality Assurance Associates
  • Oversee the Quality Assurance Associates to ensure all duties as assigned are carried out.

  • Validate the work of Quality Assurance team on a regular basis. This requires constant field travel.
  • Ensure all the issues reported to HQ by the Quality Assurance Associates are accurate.

Minimum Qualifications

  • University Degree in Business Administration or Management
  • 5-7 years of professional work experience preferably working in the field or managing field teams
  • 3-4 years in Supervisory and management roles

Competencies and Skills:

  • Experience managing and working with remote or field based employees
  • Experience collecting and analyzing large amounts of data in a systematic and organized fashion
