Job Title: Chief Information Officer

Job Brief

  • We are looking for an experienced CIO (Chief Information Officer) to oversee the use of Information technology (IT) in our company.
  • You will be the one to devise the company’s IT strategy and ensure that all systems necessary to support its operations and objectives are in place.
  • We require someone with solid IT background, and someone who consistently keeps up-to-date with advancements of the field.
  • We require someone that has every quality of a leader, a strong strategic and business acumen, and good appreciation of finance, accounting, fraud controls, employee performance measurement system and management information/ reporting requirements.
  • The goal is to ensure that information technology adds the maximum value to our company at least cost so as to facilitate the success of our business.

Responsibilities

  • Set objectives and strategies for the IT department
  • Select and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits
  • Design and customize technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience
  • Plan the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff within the organization
  • Approve purchases of technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT providers
  • Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance
  • Direct and organize IT-related projects
  • Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain competitive advantage
  • Analyze the costs, value and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions

Requirements

  • Proven experience as CIO or similar managerial role
  • Deep holistic/ rounded knowledge of use/ application of ERP for a manufacturing and consumer trading/ retailing company (all relevant modules). Knowledge for restaurant chain will be a definite plus
  • Experience in articulating and designing software requirement
  • Experience in evaluating and selecting software
  • Experience in supervising development, testing, roll out and change management for new software development (or purchase and customisation) and roll out
  • Experience in compiling and designing management information/ reporting requirements
  • Experience with deployment of eBusiness solutions including mobile applications, to maximize customer experience
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure
  • Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation
  • Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • A strong strategic and business mindset

Job Title: Application Developer

Job Description

  • We are in need of very good application developers to join our IT team. 
  • We presently use Sage DacEasy Accounting software for all our sales, manufacturing, inventory management and general financial accounting transaction processing. DacEasy utilizes the Pervasive.SQL database engine. We require programmers who will be able to efficiently extract all existing accounting data, create needed add-on forms/ applications for any needed user-friendly additional data capture, simplify/ automate generation of the different reports that we from time to time need.
  • A lot of the needed reports are presently created in scattered, manual, tedious manner in Excel.
  • We will also be requiring other applications from time to time eg food requisition tracking system, mobile app for food delivery, updates to our website, online staff performance feedback form etc.

Qualifications

  • The qualified candidate should posses a minimum of 3 years experience.
  • He/ she should also have knowledge of .MSSQL server, JavaScript, HTML, Asp.net, c#, VB script, Xamarin, sharepoint.

Job Title: Research and Development Manager

Job Description

  • We are a fast-expanding, multi-billion Naira restaurant, nightclub and hotel, currently with presence in 12 locations. We require the services of an innovative research and development manager to augment our aggressive growth plan.

The candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Oversee ongoing development and roll out of new products and services, and improvement of existing products and services, related processes, tools and structures
  • Lead ongoing market research with the objective of connecting with target customers at competitors locations to determine their needs/ preferences and their assessment of our strengths and weaknesses compared with competitors
  • Generally study our target customers, gather insights on what they watch and buy, to determine their needs: both actual and those that they have not articulated
  • Conduct competitor intelligence gathering and general ongoing competitor analysis.
  • Conduct review of industry trends, locally and internationally
  • Conduct strategic headhunt or recruitment; assemble and lead team(s)/ expert(s) that will actualize development of new products and improvements to existing products
  • Determine and suggest most effective and efficient advertising/ marketing approach for product roll out
  • Support branch roll out. Analyse demand across our target locations and prioritize ideal locations to situate branches

Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have:

  • A university degree
  • Minimum of six years of corporate research and development experience. Preferably with a leading global research agency. Familiarity with food, restaurant, nightlife and hospitality industry will be a plus
  • It will also be a plus if the candidate demonstrates ability to be hands-on and be directly involved in experimental production of food and drink products to be developed.
