Job Title: Business Development Manager
Location: Lagos
Job Description
Planning:
- Defining and developing short, medium and long term business development targets,
- Measuring the sales performance vs the goals and defining action plans to increase sales
Marketing:
- Working with Infomineo’s marketing team to deliver our marketing strategy into his/her geography
Sales: All aspects of finding and closing business for Infomineo
- Defining a target list o Defining the right strategy to approach prospective clients
- Meeting with senior executives, diagnosing their business issues and needs Infomineo can solve
- Convincing senior executives to submit requests for proposals
- Coordinating the proposal process and winning a first project/team
- Growing the relationship over time
Client Relationship Management:
- Managing the relationship with clients to monitor satisfaction and generating increasing business
- Following the payment process
- Identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities
Administration:
- Occasionally handling small amount of administrative tasks
Requirements
This position is very demanding and requires significant experiences selling customized, intangible and non-standard solutions, ideally in research or consulting. The ideal candidate will have commercial experience with a management consultancy, a financial services company or a research provider.
- Preferably a Master’s degree
- Strong background in Sales and Business Development, and proven sales performance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A good understanding of research
- Full proficiency in English
- An interest for Africa and the Middle East.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant work experience
- Strong business acumen
- Strong negotiation skills
- Executive presence
