DOAM Foundation, a fast growing Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with core focus on the Education and Health Care of orphaned and vulnerable children, is seeking for a well-qualified candidate to fill the position of:
Job Title: Chief Program Officer
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the organization’s long term goals and strategies
- Effectively monitor projects and provide technical support and obtain evidence based/assessment of progress of projects
- Develop and maintain very good working environment for optimum staff performance
- Research and maintain a knowledge base to further develop and enhance the capacity of orphaned and vulnerable children (OVCs)
- Engage and assist less privileged communities in defining their life improving needs and building community driven strategies to address these needs.
- Any other duties as defined by the Board of the Foundation.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of the Foundation’s operational policies and procedures
- Ensure that the financial management system is effective and efficient
- Develop and maintain very good working relationships with existing and potential benefactors
- Take the lead for fund raising, including identifying, developing and cultivating relationships with potential benefactors interested in education and healthcare programs particularly for the less privileged children.
Job Specifications
- Strong and natural passion for Humanitarian works.
- Strong first Degree in any of the Social Sciences. A higher degree will be an advantage
- A minimum of 10 years solid experience in Educational and or healthcare establishments plus at least 5 years hands on experience in NGO sector.
- Clearly demonstrated management and Leadership skills working with programs
- Self motivated leader with excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork and integrity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good resource planning, organization and utilization skills.
- Intellectual agility and the ability to analyze think critically and understand issues and trends in the non- profit sector.
- Unquestionable ethics and personal integrity.
