Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

Location: Lagos

• Preventing errors in manufacturing or production that lead to product defects. Testing software Projects extensively before their release.

Job Duties

• Working together with a Quality Assurance (QA) team to assess project problems and brainstorm solutions
• Writing Test Plan / Test Scenarios and reviewing Test Plans
• Estimating time involved in assuring each product’s quality
• Meeting project deadlines
• Performing stress tests and Performance testing.
• Investigating causes of defects that occur during the testing phase
• Creating test plan automation procedures
• Writing Automation Scripts
• Suggesting improvements to software processes to prevent future mistakes during in delivery
• Communicating with Project Managers/ Developers about existing defects and how to prevent them in future projects
• Communicating with project stakeholders such as Project managers / Project Leads and engineering to coordinate scheduling for QA testing before Release in Agile Based Projects.
• Reporting discovered defects to all relevant departments for correction using project tracking tools
• Applying technical skills related to the product being tested (knowledge of programming languages to software QA)
• Conforming to regulations and international standards when it comes to testing and quality assurance.
