Job Title: Executive Chef
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Qualification and Experience
- 7 to 10 years proven working experience as a head chef
- Excellent record of kitchen management
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Capable of delegating multiple tasks
- Communication and leadership skills
- B.Sc/HND in Culinary science or related certificate.
- Must live in or be willing to relocate to Ibadan.
Job Responsibilities
- Possess knowledge in continental dishes like Italian, Asian dishes
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
- Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
- Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
- Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
- Manage kitchen staff
- Rectify arising problems or complaints
- Give prepared plates the “final touch”
- Perform administrative duties
- Maintain a clean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards
- Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
Job Title: Pastry Chef
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Job Responsibilities
- Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of clients
- Keep the kitchen organized
- Prepare wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc.
- Follow traditional and modern recipes
- Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc.
- To ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting
- Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for baking
- Supervise chefs in training in the pastry kitchen
- Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently
- Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standard
Qualification and Experience
- Minimum of an OND with up to 5 to 7 years as a Pastry Chef
- Must be creative
- Must live in or be willing to relocate to Ibadan
- Organize and leadership skills
- In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition
- Working knowledge of baking with ingredient limitations (pastries that are gluten free, sugarless etc.)
