AfriHUB Nigeria Limited (“AfriHUB”) was established in May, 2004 to provide human capacity building technologies, including satellite and wireless Internet access, telephony and US instructor-led technical training to Federal Universities throughout Nigeria, as well as to the country’s businesses and government sectors. AfriHUB, with headquarters in Abuja FCT has offices at fourteen locations all over Nigeria, especially at federal tertiary institutions.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Lecturer I & II

Location: Abuja
Slot: 10 Openings
Job Type: Part -Time

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsible for the delivery of teaching and learning activities at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Managing and uploading subject reading materials on our eduPortal.
  • Setting up and managing subjects Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication, including clear and logical expression of ideas.
  • Overseeing marking/feedback and managing students’ final results.
  • Ability to pay careful attention to details coupled with well-developed conceptual skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Developing assessment tools and assessment criteria.
  • Ability to implement, review and sustain course materials as necessary to improve training effectiveness.
  • Ability to effectively train students (M.Sc and B.Sc degree) and to comfortably conduct training sessions in a group setting.
  • Ability to speak and interact with small and large groups effectively.

Education

  • MSc. in Computer Science, Sport Science, Information Technology and Security, Human Resource, Risk and Crime Management, Fashion Designing, Luxury Brand Management, Marketing, Communication, Finance, Brand Management, Hotel and Hospitality, PhD. preferred

Skills and Qualification:

  • The ideal applicant will possess five (5) years of training or teaching experience, as Sr. Lecturer, Lecturer or Assistant Lecture at tertiary institution level.”

Job Title: Senior Lecturer

Location: Abuja

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Co-ordinate support functions related to teaching and learning responsibilities. Managing and uploading subject reading materials on our EduPortal.
  • Overseeing marking/feedback and managing students’ final results.
  • Provides advice on strategic issues for the faculty/university, such as student recruitment and widening participation.
  • Ability to pay careful attention to details coupled with well-developed conceptual skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Plans, designs and develops teaching and learning objectives and materials.
  • Ability to implement, review and sustain course materials as necessary to improve training effectiveness.
  • Ability to effectively train post- graduate students and to comfortably conduct training sessions in a group setting.
  • Ability to speak and interact with small and large groups effectively.

Education

Required Skills:

  • 10 Years of training/teaching experience in a tertiary institution level.
  • Ability to teach on Online Distance Learning (ODL) platform using Edu-Portals.
  • Experience with international institution, a plus
  • Evidence of publications in reputable local, national and international learned Journal plus registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable.
  • Productive research activity with the achievement of the status of an acknowledged authority in area of specialization.
  • Dissemination of knowledge through academic and professional activities i.e. teaching quality and quantity.
  • Ability to work under tight time constraints and at times, in stressful situation
  • Must be proficient with multiple versions of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows, and advanced Concepts in Information Technology.

Job Title: Technical Support Staff

Location: Abuja

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide support to the management by monitoring and maintaining computer systems and network.
  • Testing and evaluating new technology.
  • Performing electrical safety checks on the company’s computer equipment.
  • Responding to call-outs in a timely fashion.

Education

  • M.Sc in Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical engineering or its related field;

Skills and Qualification:

  • At least 5 years working experience
  • In-depth knowledge of hardware and software.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest IT and software trends.
  • Strong customer service spirit.
  • Ability to work well with people.
  • Strong communications and excellent organizational skills

 

Job Title: Non-Academic Staff (Part-Time)

Location: Abuja

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • The Ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, delivery, evaluation and grade reporting of an approved course.
  • Teaching of graduate and post graduate students

Education

  • M.Sc. in Sciences or Social Sciences

Skills And Qualification:

  • At least five (5) years teaching experience
  • Good time management and leadership skills

Job Title: Director, Academic Programmes

Location: Abuja

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepares class schedule
  • Ensure all activities are carried out to the highest possible standards and put in place the necessary evaluation and monitoring procedures to ensure both compliance and improvement: such procedures will include teaching, research and management of all resources
  • Develop educational process and policies to meet curriculum goals.
  • Refresh and develop new programmes in order to attract new students and markets
  • Provide training to faculty on latest instructional technology and technique.
  • Responsible and accountable for setting and advancing the academic strategy
  • Develop unique and interactive educational programs and courses for students.
  • Develop and implement academic enhancement programs for students.
  • Schedule regular meetings with staffs and faculty.
  • Assist in preparing students’ score sheets and attendance records.
  • Coordinate with the academic team in sharing faculty and other educational and instructional ideas.

Education

  • M.Sc in Sciences or Social Sciences related field; PhD. Preferred.

Skills and Qualification:

  • Ten (10) years of relevant experience
  • Must have a very strong academic record and standing
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a very good understanding of academic disciplines
  • Possess leadership ability.
  • Possess ability to negotiate, mediate conflicts and advocate
  • Strong written oral, and interpersonal communication skills as well as organization, problem solving and multi- tasking ability.
