Job Title: Lubricant Sales Engineer

Job Description
Our client is looking to hire a Lubricant Sales Engineer to carry out the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute successful sales and marketing strategies for lubricants and other fuels
  • Deliver sales targets for commercial/industrial business
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Deep knowledge of commercial lubricants business and strong knowledge of retail lubricants business
  • Good portfolio of commercial/industrial customers and ability to win market share-must be able to demonstrate a commercial customer base of a minimum of 100,000 liters monthly-
  • Ability to create the organization’s brand awareness and strategic market positioning
  • Provide technical assistance and training to commercial/industrial customers

Requirements

  • An Engineering graduate with a minimum of 2nd Class Lower from a good university
  • Should have 5 – 7 years of relevant experience

Job Title: Head of Operations

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • Our client is looking to hire a Senior Operations Officer that will be responsible for overseeing all activities related to the management and monitoring of the physical off-take and delivery of products for the company to ensure business continuity and sustainability.

Shipping Operations:

  • Proactively source locally for vessels in a cost-effective manner
  • Ensure timely request for approval from CEO to nominate Inspectors, Agents, STS (Ship to ship) coordinator who handle operations before vessel sails to load port.
  • Supervise issuing of Loading and Departure orders before vessel sails
  • Supervise preparation of loading and discharge orders for vessels in accordance with purchase and sales contracts
  • Liaise with Terminal Agents about berthing prospect to ensure no loss time when the vessel arrives destination.
  • Ensure and supervise preparation of Draft Bills of Lading for shuttle vessels as advised by finance and Letters of Indemnity for vessel owners.
  • Supervise and ensure regular updates of all activities relating to loading/discharge operations.

Billing & Reconciliation:

  • Supervise collation of operations invoices from service providers, for vetting by internal authorities.
  • Supervise collation of appropriate documents and ensuring that appropriate notifications are forwarded to PPPRA before and after discharge of vessels.
  • Ensure Agents/surveyors provide the required load and discharge port documents
  • Reconcile NPMC products lifted on a quarterly basis and advise the finance department.

Demurrage Claims:

  • Notify Finance and Trader of any claims due (with supporting documents)
  • Ensure that demurrage claims are computed and timely notify the finance department.
  • Ensure timely processing of claim invoices as provided by counterparties
  • Supervise the maintenance of operations files and securing counterparties consent to claims for the finance department to issue invoices.

Permits:

  • Ensure and supervise the application for DPR import permits
  • Supervise and ensure that DPR product certification is secured by the Company
  • Ensure and follow-up on acquiring DPR depot license for HTT

Operations Process Review:

  • Developing new ideas for cost reduction purposes and efficient operations and service delivery to customers.
  • Reviewing processes & procedure to ensure that operational control and checks are still valid in a dynamic environment.
  • Managing short and medium plans as it relates to physical operations; ship chartering processes.
  • Review of contracts for trades and ships as it relates to operations.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure prompt loading of Proforma Invoice (PFI) products paid to NPMC and act as Liaison Officer to NPMC for related issues.
  • Ensure that the Navy and Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) are informed in good time for smooth berthing of vessels.
  • Ensure relevant Government agencies are notified prior to the arrival of the vessel at disport.
  • Supervise submission of loading and discharge documents to Government Agencies within 14 days.
  • Representing and maintaining a cordial relationship with Ports authorities and customs

Shipping Operations:

  • Cost of a vessel in relation to budget
  • Timeliness of vessel loading and discharge
  • Timeliness of loading and departure orders (24 hours before vessel sails)
  • Timely approval to appoint inspectors/agents/STS coordinator (24 hours before vessel sails to load port)
  • Quality, error rate and timeliness of Draft Bills of Lading and Letters of Indemnity for vessel owners.

Billing & Reconciliation:

  • Timely collation and accuracy of operations invoices from service providers
  • Accuracy and complete documentation of required load and discharge port documents
  • Accuracy, quality and timely(quarterly) rendition of the report NPMC lifted products report

Demurrage Claims:

  • Timely and accurate computation of Demurrage claims & notification (72 hours after the vessel cast off).
  • Timely treatment of claim invoices (72 hours)

Permits:

  • Timely application of DPR import permits (4 weeks before expiration of existing permit)
  • Timely DPR product certification (2-3 weeks after discharge)
  • Timely acquisition of DPR depot license for HTT

Operations Process Review:

  • % Operations cost savings

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Timely clearance of DPR/Navy prior to berthing of vessel
  • Timely submission of loading & discharge documents to government agencies (14 days)

  • Timely delivery of cargo (10 days)

Requirements

  • First Degree is required (Second Class Lower minimum) preferably in Engineering, Shipping/Logistics or Management
  • Minimum of 5-8 years related experience in similar capacity

Job Title: Lubricant Production Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • You will be responsible for the day to day coordination of the production of lubricants ensuring Lubricants are manufactured to product standards, continuously monitor of all equipment attached to the unit to minimize downtime, and oversee the transfers in and out of finished bulk products.

He/She will also carry out the following responsibilities:

  • Monitor and ensure adequate stock of packaging/raw materials are available to meet the set production targets.
  • Coordinate operations activities in client’s selected plant: Production Planning (blending and filling), warehousing, and equipment maintenance.
  • Supervise the activities of Blending, Filling, Packaging and labeling staff.
  • Liaise with laboratory/QA unit to ensure that products meet specification.
  • Ensure compliance of production operations with the company’s EHSQ Standard.
  • Engage in Stock and Production batch materials reconciliation.

Requirements

  • Must be passionate and must be able to exude high energy, enthusiasm, edge and the ability to energize others
  • A good university degree in Engineering or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 4-6 years post graduation and 2- 3 years working experience in Lubricant business and/or plant management.
