The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has revealed requirements for the recruitment of ad-hoc staff for the 2019 elections.
Nigeria is billed to have an election in February 2019 at both national and state level.
According to the electoral body, the INEC ad-hoc staff recruitment does not require any application or online registration.
Qualification/Requirement For INEC Recruitment (Ad-hoc Staff)
In addition, INEC revealed that ad-hoc staff for the 2019 elections would be recruited from the following institutions:
1. Youth Corps members – from the NYSC.
2. Students – from federal govt-owned tertiary educational institutions.
3. Federal civil servants – from federal govt agencies, including tertiary educational institutions in the states of recruitment.
It added that INEC would make requests for these ad-hoc staff directly to the various institutions.
A statement by the electoral umpired warned that it would not request applications from individuals as ad-hoc staff.
It also warned the public to disregard any information on the contrary.
