• A Ph.D with 4 years cognate experience.

• In addition, the candidates must have least 7 years of cognate experience and must have attained the position of lecturer I in a recognised university.

• A Ph.D with evidence of academic leadership in terms of publications, Research and Development (R&D) and administrative experience.
• In addition, the candidates must have least 12 years of cognate experience in full-time teaching.
• Research professors who meet prescribed internationally recognized contributions are placed on a special package.
