Job Title: Utilities Engineer/EH&S Manager
Ref: UE/EH&S/03/Plant
Location: Kaduna
Reports to: The Plant Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure 100% availability of Utilities for production to proceed unhindered.
- Provide the factory site with small scale engineering works
- Daily close contact with colleagues and senior management, across all departments, maintain contact with Local Authority departments & representatives of the Fire and Rescue service, Police, and the public.
- Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety legislation, (including all insurance checks) and execution of the Site safety policy.
- Ensure safety norms are followed by everyone within the factory premises.
- Development of internal expert capability that will reduce external dependency for problem resolution or projects.
- Reduction of utilities running cost and downtime.
- Planning and ensuring that the preventive maintenance is carried out as per schedule.
- Ensuring timely completion of breakdowns so as to avoid loss of production.
- Train & develop the talent within the plant on routine maintenance & develop successors for the future.
- Ensure proper use of spare parts replaced.
Job Requirements (Qualification & Skills)
- B. Eng. Or HND (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Process & Procedure Implementation Skills.
- Computer literacy and IT Skills.
Experience
- A minimum of 4-5 years in FMCG with relevant experience in Juice & Dairy processing Industry
- Handling the preventive and breakdown maintenance in Power Plant.
- In depth Knowledge of Utilities Maintenance.
- High level interpersonal relationship
- Professional Member of COREN will be an additional advantage.
Job Title: Processing Manager
Ref: MPM/02/Plant
Location: Kaduna
Reports to: The Plant Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for production and timely submission of reports (Daily/Weekly/Annual) for management information
- Responsible for the proper usage of raw materials to minimize production wastages.
- Plan, delegate and ensure equipment preventive maintenance schedules are carried out as and at when due by Engineering Team.
- Responsible for the maintenance of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) before, during and after production.
- Reduce process errors, improve process results and save costs.
- Evaluate Existing Business Process by breaking down various business processes with flowcharts, manuals and other documentation outlining current practices/work flow in the plant (Dairy/Nectar) to meet delivery schedules.
- Create Documentation Outlining Process Improvements on Dairy/Nectar lines.
- Manage Improvement Teams and Implementation Processes by working with managers, team members and other employees to ensure that the plan to ensure the production programme of Nectar/Dairy in the plant is executed in meeting quality specifications.
- Conduct analyses once changes have been implemented i.e recipe, by continue to monitor and assess various processes of Nectar/Dairy and ensure they are producing the desired outcomes.
- Update Department Procedures by re-writing departmental policies and ensure all employees are familiar with relevant procedural changes and oversee the training of staff and creation of documents addressing new procedures and policies.

Job Title: Shift-Quality Assurance Manager
Ref: QA/01/Plant

Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager
Job Description
- These role demands the highest levels of technical ability and diagnostic skills
- It will be responsible for meeting demand/production targets while maintaining the highest levels of quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support the implementation of quality systems which comply with the ISO Standards FS 22,000 as well as Liaise with the government agencies on behalf of the company with respect to quality standards i.e. FS 22,000, Weights and measures etc.
- Provide quality assurance to manufacturing and offer solutions to quality problems to ensure that product quality conforms to specification, while coordinating the adoption of the Product Integrity & Traceability Roadmap across the supply chain system
- Document all standards and improve recipes for all the products to avoid fluctuation in quality. Any recipe change must be approved and adequately communicated
- Prepare daily, weekly/ monthly, quarterly report to management and on annual basis.
- Guide a laboratory function that incorporates scientific, environmental and analytical services to assess compliance to generate opportunities for product improvement.
- Provide accurate and timely incoming materials inspection for all materials received to ensure the factory is continuously supplied with acceptable quality materials by partnering with procurement & manufacturing
- Participate in all engineering, capital expenditure and product development initiatives to ensure process and product quality performance is not compromised.
- Assist the Sales/Marketing Function to identify quality gaps through distribution by the application of RQI, and promote actions to eliminate quality deficiencies to ensure brand image is maintained.
- Organize regular in house training for improvement of staff to ensure high quality assurance at all times.
- Provide accurate and timely quality information by establishing robust systems that ensure appropriate sampling regimes, the monitoring and maintenance of protocols and instrument calibration.
- Interpret and translate into common language, scientific and technical information regarding physical and chemical characteristics of Dairy and Nectar products to the organisation to facilitate management decisions on quality improvement
- Working with operating staff to establish procedures, standards, and systems.
- Act as catalyst for change and improvement in performance and quality; directing objectives to maximise profitability.
Job Requirements (Qualification & Skills)
- B.Sc in Chemistry, Microbiology or HND in Food Science/Production Management/related filed
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong team & Leadership working skills, with an ability to motivate others and to lead or manage teams and projects;
- IT Skills in Microsoft Suits – Word, Excel, Power Point and ERP
- Continuous Process Improvement and implementation skills.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2-4 years in FMCG with relevance experience in Juice & Dairy processing Industry.
- Awareness of consumer and societal expectations, competition activities, market expectations and strategic business imperatives will be an added advantage.
- An understanding of Laboratory principles and practice.
