Role Summary
- Accelerate your career as Sales Application Engineer in fast growing Digital Solutions business in Oil & Gas. This position offers those with a strong technical background in condition monitoring and management system, a chance to learn or enhance their skills in the technical and commercial side of the business and work with the region sales team to develop a complete technical and commercial solution for our customers.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Engineering degree.
- Instrumentation & Controls, Mechanical, or Electrical/Electronics preferred
- Minimum 3-year experience in application/engineering of condition monitoring systems
- Short term assignment in Dubai for the first few months of the role 10-20% travel required for short customer meetings and site surveys
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and Power Point)
- Creative solution and problem solving skills
- Good commercial and contractual expertise is a plus

Essential Responsibilities
- Generate proposals in a timely manner to meet the customer’s requirements related to condition monitoring and management system.
- Proposal quality,timeliness, and accuracy are key measurement criteria for this positionReview and influence customer specifications to assure compliance and define exceptions/alternatives
- Generate pricing and cost structure for the proposals
- Contribute to individual deal strategies to drive both price and hit rate
- Manage and negotiate commercial and contractual risk within the Inquiry to Order (ITO) process
- Work with third-party and GE internal sub-suppliers to obtain quotations/information related to extended scope
- Conduct site surveys, when needed, in order to collect data from the existing system
- Conduct technical presentations, when needed, to all levels of customer organization
- Manage project handover from ITO (inquiryto-order) phase to OTR (order-to-remittance) phase at the start of project execution
- Provide technical support to OTR teams to ensure successful project execution
- Contribute to and leverage existing technical library of source materials related to industry applications, system configurations/hardware, design standards, etc. to provide timely technical information]
- Contribute positively to regional sales, orders, profitability, and ITO quality goals
- Participate in team activities to establish regional business network of partnerships, alliances and integrator / distributor / reseller relationships.
