Job Title: ELV Engineer

Job Summary
- A site-based role reporting to the Project Manager. Leading the ELV team in delivering the site-supervision of the implementation of a pre-defined design encompassing IT, ELV, Security and Fire Alarm infrastructure.
- Assisting and coordinating with Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical designs and maintaining design quality and project schedule with respect to Communications, Life Safety and Automated Systems.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Managing a team of ELV engineers proficient in ELV systems and on-site building practises.
- Responsible for the IT, Telecom, ELV, Electronic Security and Fire Alarm systems design contents as assigned together with its follow-up for Authorities and Client’s approval.
- Responsible for coordination meetings with the contractors to ensure that the intended design is implemented.
- Responsible for regular site visits to ensure installation standard is satisfactory.
- Liaison and coordination with all applicable Local Authority Departments to obtain approval at all stages of the project.
- Coordination with other Discipline Engineers (Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical) as applicable.
Project Management Duties:
- Responsible for the design review of the IT, Telecom, ELV, Security and Fire Alarm services.
- Participation in design review meetings and workshops. If required.
- Preparation of meeting records, design review and design progress reports.
- Liaise with Local suppliers / Contractors to ensure adherence to standards and scope of works required by client.
- Coordinate with design managers undertaking close-out work in all stages of the design development.
- Validate & check design drawings for Communications Systems & Security construction phases of the project.
- Provide guidance and advice to the ELV team for alternative proposals by the contractor.
- Will work as ELV Technician / Engineer / Manager for the project.
- Will coordinate with consultants, contractors and sub-contractors and involve in design / review / implementation of all ELV functions and discipline required for the project.
- Supervise contractors / subcontractors to carry out site works according to design intent and the suppliers for timely delivery of equipment.
- Will assure that the installations of ELV related systems (CCTV, ACS, PA, BGM, BMS etc.) are in compliance with drawings, required specifications and standards.
- Responsible for the site work implementation and documentation in order to achieve the project target completion date.
- Report to the Senior Manager of site progress and problems being encountered for assistance and guidance.
- Will keep records and related data of site progress in order to maintain regular / timely update to Senior Manager.
- Attend site meetings regularly and liaise with others for details of works and coordination of requirements amongst various parties.
- Involve in testing and commissioning of the installed systems and ensure compliance and handover.
- Any other assigned tasks by the Management.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or relevant discipline.
Minimum Experience:
- 7 years relevant work experience in ELV including Access Control Systems, Security, PA, BGM, AV, BMS etc.
Competencies:
- Should have a thorough knowledge of ELV systems (CCTV, Alarm systems, ACS, PA, BGM, AV, BMS etc,.).

Job Objective
- The Job holder will be responsible for drawing up full technical quotations, from design to final cost, based on the customer’s specifications.
- Quotation requests are made for the most fascinating and wide-ranging projects. The role will require you to visit project sites, clients’ offices and other relevant locations.
- Conduct research to solve practical engineering problems and improve efficiency. Mentor other Design Engineers and assist project management when essential.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead projects with design and engineering support.
- Thoroughly analysing clients’ specifications and highlighting the main points. If necessary, you can request additional clarification or information from the Technical Sales department.
- Converting the specifications to our standard datasheet, making it user-friendly for our design department.
- Working out the quotation by producing an initial design (both electrical and mechanical). In addition, you will be required to compile a summary of all the technical parameters for the client.
- Acting as a point of contact for the Technical Sales team and our clients in order to support them with technical information.
- Supporting the design department when your quotation is accepted and is followed up with an order.
- Monitor and train junior engineers on projects, software, and SCSP processes.
- Oversee testing and design of assigned project and product line.

Job Objective
- To manage all contractual and financial aspects of projects, ensures projects are completed within projected budget and prepares cost estimates for products and services to aid in bidding on or determining prices of products, items and/or services for quotation preparation and submission.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Analyse Designs/Technical Drawings and other Documentations to Prepare Time, Cost, Materials and Labour Estimates
- Prepares Tender Documents, Contracts, Budgets. And Bills of Quantities.
- Track Changes to Designs, Installations and Adjusting Budget Projections Accordingly.
- Assess Cost Effectiveness of Products, Projects or Services, Tracking Actual Costs Relative to Bids as Projects Progress.
