Overview of the Role
- Develop and strengthen INTERSOS Logistics capacity and contribute to the professional development of logistics within the area of Procurement, Warehouse management and support for the Offices and
- Guest-houses management. Support office functions, and assist in field operations as requested.
Tasks and Main Responsibilities
Fleet management:
- Manage the Intersos fleet in the mission, supporting the field locations when necessary;
- Liaise with vendors for the issuing of new rentals/maintenance of vehicles;
- Manage the daily movements of staff;
- Provide managerial oversight, monitor and training to drivers;
- Ensure that sufficient and qualified staff is contracted (drivers);
- Supervising drivers’ conduct and training them when needed;
- Assess the market for vehicles spare parts, maintenance and vehicle rental periodically;
- Keep track of all administrative aspects of the fleet (logbooks, insurance, maintenance, etc);
- Do an assessment about workshop(s) for extraordinary maintenance, and following all
- INTERSOS procedures, sing an agreement (a new assessment must be done yearly);
Procurement:
- Contribute to the assessment of the local purchasing environment (through new local market analysis, information gathered from previous purchases, program teams, other NGOs etc.) and
- to refresh it every maximum six (6) months (including already existing ones);
- Support the review of technical proposals of suppliers and carry out cost / benefit analysis;
- Support the process of the prequalification of local suppliers;
- Support the management of all complete Procurement dossiers with proper archive system;
- Contribute to do the orders to the prequalified local suppliers respecting the Procurement
- Plans (of the different projects), received from the PMs and agreed with the Logistics Coordinator;
- Check the quality / status and the right amount of the materials and of the packaging delivered to the warehouse from the prequalified suppliers;
- All previous activities are done with the use of IMP
- For Procurement Tasks it is needed a deep knowledge of the INTERSOS Procurement Manual 2017
Others:
- Implement a proper archive system;
- Field site visit in all different projects sites in order to verify and improve logistics;
- Report achievements and difficulties and give suggestions to improve procurement, warehouse and Offices and Guesthouses management processes;
- Any other tasks not listed above in order to support and improve;
Qualifications and Qualities
- Relevant experience in logistics Coordination and / or supervision in humanitarian contexts and at Coordination level;
- Experienced in emergency and conflict settings;
- Large field availability;
- Great skills to pilot different tasks in a same time;
- Good capacity to cooperate with other departments;
- Flexibility and patience highly appreciated;
- Good communicator, able to work in English (verbal and written).

Position summary
- To provide nursing care, treatment and follow-up of patients according to the protocols applied and universal hygiene standards/precautions, in order to ensure the quality and continuity of care for the beneficiaries.
- To undertake health programme activities guaranteeing the efficient and effective sensitisation, mobilisation and participation of the targeted communities, thereby maximising programme performance. The nurse shall ensure that supportive supervision is given to the community mobilizers, Health Assistants, guidelines set in the health protocols are followed during programme implementation.
- The nurse shall also ensure that every beneficiary receives adequate medical examination, the required routine and prescribed medication and referral for additional treatment, as appropriate and according to the protocols.
Responsibilities
- Knowing, promoting, implementing and following up the universal hygiene standards/ precautions, bio-hazard prevention and infection control, security rules and other protocols and procedures in the medical premises and ensuring high standards of hygiene of his/her working environment in the targeted HF and in the mobile clinic.
- Respecting medical secrets and confidentiality at all times.
- Organizing and carrying out care and treatments according to medical prescriptions, performing consultations and other minor medical procedures.
- Participating in health education of the patient (and family) when necessary.
- Carrying and supervising administrative procedures and documents (fill in patient’s files, forms, consumptions, statistics, registers, health files, etc.), and reporting any problematic situations and cases that may arise. Participating in data collection and keeping doctors/supervisors informed ;
- Be available to oversee screening, treatment and follow up of malnourished patients in the field sites when called upon
- Ability to head the outreach and hygiene promotion team and guide community health volunteers from time to time
- Participate in planning and undertaking health surveys, rapid assessments, as well as in the monitoring and evaluation of the health program activities
- Responsible for providing inputs and data for monthly health activities’ reports in timely manner.
- Participate and update progress in weekly technical meeting with health staff
- Responsible for accurate record keeping, ordering and accountability of health equipment, supplies and drugs (Participating in the department-related pharmacy and medical equipment control and maintenance (quality and its functioning, storage conditions, follow-up of expired drugs inventories, stock takes of medicines and material, etc.)
- Ensure the quality of the health service given in all different locations meet the expected standards.
- Responsibility for the day to day management of project site activities and staff.
- Conduct trainings to build the capacity of staff/volunteers, MoH staff and the community at large
- Performing other related duties within the clinic as may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution
- At least 2 years post qualifying experience in a similar environment as the project sites above
- Possession of a valid practicing certificate.
- Diploma in Nutrition will be and additional advantage
- Experience in implementation of nutrition program will be an additional advantage
- Background/familiarity with Emergency.
- Good command of written and spoken English, Kanuri and Hausa Languages

Position Summary
- Main Purpose of the Job is to Support the Programs in all data collection, analysis, and learning activities to ensure accountability and efficiency.
- Reporting to the M&E manager and closely working with program and front-line staff.
Responsibilities
- Participate in planning and undertaking surveys, rapid assessments, as well as in the monitoring and evaluation of the program activities especially in relation to WASH, NFIs, Shelter and Protection.
- Responsible for establishing and ensuring better data management systems for the core programs s/he assigned for and coordinates the proper and timely evaluation of project objectives/impact.
- Ensure all programs have accountability mechanisms and works with project staff to make sure its implementation.
- Regularly collecting and compiling Gender-Based Violence Information Management System (GBVIMS) data and producing summary monitoring reports.
- Conduct regular data verification exercises to ensure reporting and collection of quality data.
- Participate in monitoring of all project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving the project output and outcomes.
- Participate in development and strengthening monitoring and impact indicator for the project success.
- Provide feedback to the Program Managers on project activities.
- Report monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all project activities to the Program Managers.

Purpose of the Position
- Under the supervision of the MAM, s/he will provide professional technical advice on project design, planning, administration, monitoring and evaluation of Nutrition and Health programme/project activities, data analysis and progress reporting, and enhancing teamwork and capacity building in order to ensure the delivery of quality medical care for patients and their communities as well as to improve the health condition of the target population.
- Provide outpatient and/or inpatient medical care to patients/beneficiaries according to adapted and updated medical knowledge, existing and validated protocols, values and universal hygiene standards to improve the patients/beneficiaries health conditions.
Responsibilities
Management of the Health and Nutrition Program Clinic:
- Apply medical knowledge and skills to diagnose and prevention. Carry out outpatient and/or inpatient consultations, prescribing the necessary treatment respecting protocols in targeted HF and in mobile clinic activities.
- Knows and ensures all medical protocols are followed and implemented, checking universal precautions are followed at all times and reducing bio-hazard risks and improving infection control.
- Ensures professional confidentiality is respected
- To assess and make the necessary arrangements for patients who need advanced care that is not available at INTERSOS health facility and have to be referred.
Management:
- Participate in the development of health and nutrition sector budgets and following up on their effective implementation.
- Develop health and nutrition sector work plans for all the INTERSOS health and nutrition grants.
- Supervise and coordinate the implementation and monitoring of health and nutrition project activities.
- Conduct health and nutritional surveillance in the program sites, including host community and internally displaced persons (IDPs) based on agreed methodologies including surveys, process monitoring, SMART, SQUEAC and other rapid methods.
- Work with the field based health and nutrition staff and community health Volunteers to establish, implement and monitor community based management of acute malnutrition activities, coupled with patient follow up, referrals and education for their better management at community level.
- Coordinate with other INTERSOS departments and implementing partners to develop training curricula and implementation plans for community Health Volunteers (CHV’s).
- Assist in response and management of any health and nutrition emergency and participate in the development of disaster preparedness systems.
- Promote mother infant and young child feeding best practices in various health facilities.
- Oversee implementation and integration of comprehensive growth monitoring program/Mass MUAC screenings at community level and report accordingly.

Reporting to: Protection Monitor Team Leader
Role Purpose
- The protection monitor is in charge of conducting a range of protection activities, including information provision and participatory protection assessments of target beneficiaries
- The post holder works in close cooperation and coordination with other team members and reports to the Protection Officer.
Key Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Conduct regular field participatory protection monitoring and assessments, using as much as possible an age, gender and diversity approach, in order to fully understand protection concerns and priorities.
- Enhance and facilitate discussion on main protection concerns and response capacity within the displaced and the host communities.
- Identify and assess the needs of the most vulnerable individuals, particularly women at risk, and the available response opportunities in accordance with set guidelines, plans and schedules.
- Conduct vulnerability assessment and identify cases for assistance according to pre- defined criteria.
- Refer protection cases to the Protection Monitor Team Leader
- Ensure dissemination of clear and reliable information on service provision and other pre- selected key topics.
- Conduct Focus Group Discussion on protection topics , in close collaboration with Protection Monitor Team Leader
- Liaise with Community leaders and Protection Action Groups
- Conduct information sessions, record feedback and report results back to Protection Monitor Team Leader on issues of concern with recommended areas of intervention..
