We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chief of Party

Location: Adamawa
Contract Type: Full time

Job Description/Project Summary

  • SWODEN is seeking applications for the above position for an anticipated USAID-funded Key Populations Activity in Nigeria which will build on current investments made by USAID to reduce risk of HIV transmission among key populations and will improve their enrolment and retention in care and treatment across the HIV cascade. This includes providing HIV prevention, care, and treatment services, as well as addressing structural barriers to KPs accessing these services.
  • The Activity will address critical gaps and bottlenecks in the response to HIV among KPs by implementing a comprehensive package of services in line with the WHO guidelines. Recruitment is contingent upon successful award of the project and the selection of the final applicant is subject to USAID approval.

Responsibilities

  • The Chief of Party COP will provide leadership, managerial and technical support throughout the implementation of the project and will be responsible for the administration, program management, performance monitoring and technical implementation and oversight of all program activities.
  • The COP will serve as the principal institutional liaison to the Nigerian Government (GON) and USAID/Nigeria and is expected to have regular communication with the USAID/Nigeria Agreement Officer’s Representative.

Minimum Recruitment Standards

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Management, Social Work, or Business Administration with a focus on public health, social sciences, or related field. A first degree in Medicine is preferred;
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience with progressively increasing responsibility designing, implementing, managing and leading large development program involving multiple partners, stakeholders, and geographic target areas in a developing country. The 10 years must be inclusive of five (5) years prior experience as a Chief of Party or similar leadership role of similar size and complexity;
  • The 10 years must also be inclusive of a minimum of three (3) years of experience providing specific technical direction and oversight of the development and management of HIV programs with key populations;
  • Demonstrated ability through previous experience leading a technical activity through evidence and data driven decision making;
  • Demonstrated ability through previous experience to establish and maintain productive working relationships with a wide network of partners and stakeholders.

 

Job Title: Production Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  • Planning and organizing production schedules.
  • Assessing project and resource requirements.
  • Estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets and timescales with clients and managers.
  • Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met.
  • Determining quality control standards
  • Overseeing production processes.
  • Re-negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary.
  • Selecting, ordering and purchasing materials.
  • Organizing the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
  • Liaising with buyers and marketing and sales staff.

Job Requirements

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in the same or similar capacity within the FMCG industry.
  • Minimum of B.Sc. /B.Tech. /HND.

 

Job Title: Director of Programs

Location: Adamawa

Job Description/Project Summary

Responsibilities

  • The Director of Programs will have responsibility for the technical content of service delivery encompassing KP prevention services (social/behavior change communication, pm-exposure prophylaxis, condom/lubricant programming, STI management and other evolving prevention technology/techniques), case finding (partner notification services, risk profile based testing, and other testing modalities applicable to key population case finding), treatment (including differentiated community ART care delivery model using the OSS strategy, TLD regimen protocol, FP integration, and TB services integration), viral load services within a community setting (including considerations for use of self-administered viral load sampling kits, optimization of viral load cascade and other efforts necessary for achieving measurable community viral suppression).

Minimum Recruitment Standards

  • A minimum of Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, or Management Social Work with a focus on public health, social sciences, or related field. A first degree is preferred;
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional work euperience in the field of Public Health and HIV. This should be inclusive of a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in technically designing and managing programs related to key populations and HIV.
  • The 5 years should also be inclusive of a minimum of 3 years of experience in management of a USG-funded activity, including program planning, implementation, data use, monitoring and reporting;
  • Demonstrated understanding, experience and competency in working with HIV KP community-led organizations and KP community leaders; and
  • Demonstrated written, presentation, communication and organizational skills in English.

 

Job Title: Director, Finance and Operations

Location: Adamawa
Contract Type: Full time

Job Description/Project Summary

  • The Director of Finance will be responsible for administrative and financial leadership of the program to ensure quality, timeliness, and efficiency of project set-up, daily operations, and close-out.
  • The Director of Finance will manage the administrative and logistic infrastructure of key components of the program description and ensure adherence to global standard of excellence in health service delivery programming and donor-specified compliance.

Minimum Recruitment Standards

  • A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or a closely related field. Master’s degree is preferred;
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in overseeing financial operations and management of large- scale, complex development activities in developing countries;
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience overseeing the procurement administration and financial management and reporting of a USG-funded activity;
  • Demonstrated understanding, experience and competency in working with HIV KP community-led organizations and KP community leaders; and
  • Demonstrated written, presentation, communication and organizational skills in English.
