NSCDC on its twitter handle revealed that the Federal Government has abolishes Degree/HND dichotomy in Civil Defence, Immigration, Prisons, Fire Services under the Ministry of Interior. Below is the embedded tweet shared by the service:
According to the press released statement, the board chaired by the honourable Minister of interior Lt. Gen (Rtd) Abdulrahman Bello Dambasau gave the approval at the board’s meeting held between 9th and 10th May 2019 in Abuja
Consequently a Technical committee was immediately set up to work out modalities for the implementation including the harmonization of ranks in accordance with the abolition.
The meeting also approved the recruitment of two thousand two hundred candidates into the Federal Fire Service and seven thousand four hundred and seventy five candidates into the Nigeria Prison Service.
General Dambasau wishes the candidates a successful career in the service and pledge commitment of the board to ensuring adequate pre-deployment training
