Job Title: Store keeper
Location: Ogoja, Cross River
Duration: 6 Months (Renewable)
Job Description
- The Store Keeper will be responsible for supporting the management of inventory and items on the Project sites and will directly work with the Programme Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for receiving, documenting and managing items, relief materials, shelter and other inventory in the store.
- Support in the Distribution of relief materials including food and non-food items to persons of concern.
- They will also ensure that all vulnerable persons are served including the elderly and child-headed households.
- Support Implementation on a timely basis agreed on activities but also taking advantage of unplanned activities that may come up
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
General Requirements
- Candidates must have a minimum of OND or its equivalent in Statistics, Social Sciences, or other related disciplines.
Additional Skills Required:
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Open to, and tolerant of, other cultures and religion
- Ability to work well with minimal supervision
- Physical fitness to lift weights and heavy materials
- Ability to utilize office application programs such as Microsoft Word Excel, etc.
Job Title: Shelter Assistant
Location: Ogoja, Cross River
Duration: 6 Months (Renewable)
Job Description
- The Shelter Assistant works directly under the supervision of the shelter officer, and assists in ensuring that the development of shelter strategies take into account the local context, age and gender, culture, climate, environmental protection available resources and skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with his/her line manager to ensure volunteer shelter monitors and construction schedule is accurate and achievable.
- Ensure timely delivery and documentation of construction materials.
- Supervise the construction of shelter and other infrastructures are in line with the approved design and bill of quantities.
- Responsible for managing carpenters working on assigned shelter
- Responsible for monitoring carpenters, masons, volunteers, and Persons of Concern participating in the construction
- Responsible for ensuring construction workers/carpenters leaders adhere to all policies and procedures
- Provide support to Shelter officer as needed to ensure the project schedule is met in a safe environment and in a quality manner.
- Patriciate in site planning as required.
- Ensure that all Rhema Care job sites are in full compliance with applicable shelter guidance.
- Perform other duties as required by program needs and requested by supervisor.
- Timely reporting, on a weekly and monthly basis, (identifying gaps, risks, and bottlenecks that can obstruct proper implementation of activities)
- Ensure documentation of project progress is ongoing
- Assist in preparing documentation for final handover and closure of the project.
General Requirements
- Candidates must have a minimum of OND or its equivalent in Engineering, Building Technology or other related disciplines.
Additional Skills Required:
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Physical fitness to work long hours and the ability to lift heavy materials
- Ability to utilize office application programs such as Microsoft Word Excel, etc
- Open to, and tolerant of, other cultures and religion
- Ability to work well with minimal supervision
Job Title: Reception Assistant
Location: Ogoja, Cross River
Duration: 6 Months (Renewable)
Overview
- The Reception Assistant will be supporting the site planning, planning, implementation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for receiving and managing new arrivals, providing support and guidance to refugees in transit facilities.
- Provide referrals and follow-up of persons of concern to other partners for appropriate service delivery
- Distribution of relief materials including food and non-food items to persons of concern.
- S/he will also ensure that all vulnerable persons are served including the elderly and child-headed households.
- Support cash distribution and monitoring.
- Support Implementation on a timely basis agreed on activities but also taking advantage of unplanned activities that may come up
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
General Requirements
- Candidates must have a minimum of OND or its equivalent in Social Sciences or other related disciplines.
Additional Skills Required:
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Open to, and tolerant of, other cultures and religion
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work well with minimal supervision
- Compassion to help and empathy towards vulnerable persons
- Ability to work under pressure in humanitarian contexts
- Ability to utilize office application programs such as Microsoft Word Excel, etc.
