Job Title: Finance Officer

Job Description

  • Daily supervision of finance assistants
  • Reconciliation of NRC bank accounts and cash boxes
  • Establish a good tracking system for advances and ensure that clearance of advances is done on time.
  • Ensure that weekly, monthly finance reports are prepared on time.
  • Daily verification of POs, PRs Bid Analysis, per diem claim and other documents within the finance officer threshold
  • Verify that all transactions have complete supporting documents and ensure that all costs are timely booked into Agresso on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Support to ensure month end closure is completed according to the timeline provided in the finance handbook
  • Support to verify the monthly National Staff Payroll and posting
  • Follow up to ensure prompt processing of daily vendor payments and Ensure that all supporting documents are complete and accurate before payment is done.

  • Support the Finance Coordinator facilitate monthly BVA meetings, Project summary and spending plans
  • Facilitate daily cash counts and safeguard of cash in the office.

Qualifications

Job Description

  • NRC is looking for a Logistics/Procurement Technical Assistant for our field office in Gwoza/Pulka, Adamawa State in Northern Nigeria. The purpose of the Logistics/Procurement Technical Assistant is to support programme activities in Gwoza/Pulka, Adamawa State
  • NRC initiated country operations in Nigeria in June 2015, in order to respond to the critical and increasing needs in the country. NRC currently has a full team based in Maiduguri and a coordination office in Abuja. NRC is currently providing services across various sectors namely; Shelter and Non-Food Items (NFI); Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion (WASH); Food Security; Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA) and Education in order to address identified humanitarian needs.
  • The Logistics Technical Assistant reports to the Logistics Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that vehicles are used and maintained according to Logistics Handbook and other NRC policies
  • Plan, schedule and monitor transport of staff and material/equipment according to demands and procedures
  • Ensure that NRC generators in Mubi are maintained on regular basis and prepare requisitions for spare parts for vehicles & Generators
  • Responsible for the receipt, storage and dispatch of all assets from the Gwoza/Pulka Office ensuring that proper documentation is maintained for same.
  • Ensure that assets are tagged and all asset movement is tracked in the Asset Register
  • Assist the Logistics Officer with Physical Asset count, preparing of Logistics and documents as may be required.
  • Be responsible for the procurements within the location
  • Ensure all drivers adhere to NRC logistics and drivers’ procedures
  • Compile and submit monthly vehicle utilization and carpool reports

Job Title: Logistics Officer

The Logistics Officer reports to the Area Manager.

Job Description

  • Managing and tracking of all vehicles on the fleet, including movement planning and day-to-day allocation
  • Manage, maintain and repair vehicles in safe and efficient working order
  • Ensure that vehicles are checked on a daily basis, and that regular service and maintenance is carried out as per agreed schedule
  • Responsible for administering litigations and traffic offenses.
  • Ensure vehicles have current and lawful documentation.

  • Receive travel requests, and maintain trip schedules and Staff Movement Board.
