Job Description
The Senior Project Engineer (Buoy Systems) accountabilities include:
- Provide support for addressing all SPM & Oil Offloading System related queries and clarification questions from the EPC-5 Tenderers.
- Implement project management systems including cost, schedule/progress, quality and HSSE monitoring and reporting.
- Implement the Contract Execution Plan and elements of the Basis of Design relating to the BSWA SPM & Oil Offloading scope
- Participate in the development of the contract evaluation criteria (including cost and schedule estimates) during the evaluation process.
- Support the selection of bidders, tendering, evaluation and award.
- Supervision of the Detailed Design and Post Installation and Commissioning Support for the BSWA SPM & Oil Offloading system, and support of field installation of all associated infrastructure in accordance with the policies and standards, ready for introduction of hydrocarbons by First Oil, within budget and no LTI recorded.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Marine, Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering with at least 10 years’ experience in upstream EP projects with emphasis on Design and Execution, preferably in deepwater environment. At least 7 years’ experience directly related to delivery of SPMs and Offloading System scope in Deepwater Mega Projects.
- Knowledge about geotechnical aspects related to mooring anchor and interfaces
- Technical Professional with broad and deep knowledge of Deepwater SPMs and Offloading Systems design, fabrication, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning and should have played a supervisory role in the delivery of at least one major deepwater project involving subsea infrastructure design and installation.
- Ability to work with and influence multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams
- The position will appeal to persons who have previously had overall responsibility for the fabrication and construction of large and complex oil and gas facilities for offshore applications and particularly in SPMs and oil offloading systems
- Assessed at or immediately ready for assessment at GPES Level 1
- Knowledge related to global performance of couple floating systems along with station keeping analysis, design of mooring systems, mooring hardware, analysis of offloading flexibles, hawser design and experience in managing technical aspects
- Knowledge related to application of station keeping and mooring guidelines and classification agencies requirement
