We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Blaster
Location: Kogi
Job Description
- Conduct field tests to determine type and quantity of explosives required.
- Follow layout instructions or diagrams, layout drill pattern and determine depth and diameter of blast holes.
- Complete all safety requirements for all applicable equipment and machinery.
- Handle, store and transport explosives and accessories in accordance with standard procedures, criteria and regulations, ensuring maximum safety.
Job Requirements
- Must be a graduate with a minimum of Five (5) years blasting experience.
- Will have to work closely with other crew members to coordinate responsibilities and communicate progress.
- The work can be noisy and is physically tiring, this requires physical strength as well as an ability to concentrate and work in physically challenging environments.
- Have a sense of adventure and be able to spend extended periods of time away from home.
- Be a team player who can easily adapt to any environment.
- Be result-oriented.
- Shall have a valid blasting license as at the time of application.
- Have good communication and presentation skills.
- Must have the ability to pay attention to detail.
- Be able to work under pressure.
- Be innovative and must have integrity.
