Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Specialization: Accounting

Job Description

  • To ensure that all bank transactions records of IBEDC and corresponding banks are accurate and consistent with laid down treasury policies/procedures of the company

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates IBEDC payments for all IBEDC’s obligations liaises with Accounts payable to ensure all approvals and entries are properly captured
  • Monitors Cash / Cheque lodgments into IBEDC’s Bank Accounts
  • Monitors daily cash balances and performs daily reconciliation of Bank Accounts
  • Maintains day to day banking relationships and operations
  • Assists in carrying out cash movements between Bank Accounts
  • Liaises with Accounts Receivable Section on trade/sales returns reconciliation
  • Reconciles all bank transactions and prepares periodic account reconciliation report

  • A first degree in Accounting, Finance or any related discipline

Job Title: Materials Management Officer

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Job Description

  • To manage all aspects of materials flow and to maintain control over all goods inventories including all transactions, planning, scheduling, cost, warehousing request issues

Responsibilities

  • Manages the receiving functions of the organization and oversees the storage of purchased equipment and materials in compliance established policies
  • Maintains optimum inventory levels and ensures on-time deliveries to meet operational demands while minimizing carrying costs and premium transportation charges
  • Directs write-off of obsolete and off-spec material and reduces aging materials to maintain a realistic valuation of goods-on-hand
  •  Manages warehouses for stored equipment/materials, developing effective warehouse layouts to efficiently provide for the systematic accumulation of these materials until requested by various Business Units
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing security procedures and protocol
  • Implements a defined store repairs and maintenance program that consistently provides a well-maintained retail facility from a safety, cosmetic and practicality perspective
  •  Coordinates the procedures for valuing the year-end physical inventory

Functional Competence

  • Proven experience in InventoryManagement – progressive experience in the management of materials
  • Ability to use Inventory Management software tools/technology
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Strong financial management skills

Qualifications and Requirements
Educational Qualification:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration or any related discipline

Desired Experience:

  • At least 3+ years’ experience in Supply Chain especially in Procurement/Inventory Management

Job Title: Regulatory Risk Officer

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Job Description

  • To organize, evaluate, analyze and monitor all regulatory & market risk to ensure overall improvement in market shortfalls due to disco challenges

Responsibilities

  • Providing alerts and analysis to IBEDC on the impact of changes and defaults in the regulatory provisions and contractual framework.
  • Regulatory & market risk identification, assessment and reporting to risk owners/stakeholders for proper action.
  • Assist with Periodic internal tariff review, analysis and shortfall analysis, MYTO review and projections.
  • Prepares regular industry reports on the state of the market for internal and external stakeholders (as defined by industry regulations or IBEDC’s management discretion)
  • Assist in conducting special research falling out of regulatory provisions centered around loss reduction levels and deliver timely and relevant actionable feedback to improve performance

Competence Requirements

  • Understanding of the business of IBEDC and related businesses in the electricity sector
  • Understanding and knowledge of regulatory stipulations vis-à-vis rates, pricing MYTO and market reset
  • Understanding of the laws and regulations governing the power industry
  • Strong financial and business acumen – financial analysis and reporting skills
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications in preparation and analysis of data (eg Excel spreadsheet)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (business report writing)

Qualifications and Requirements
Educational Qualification:

  • A first degree in Social Sciences or any relevant field

Desired Experience:

  • At least 2 years’ experience within the Utility industry or a closely related industry.
