Job Title: Financial Accountant
Location: Jos, Plateau

Job Summary
- The Candidate will ensure efficient administration, co-ordination, supervision and execution of day-to-day aspects of the business’s accounting and reporting functions
- Monthly Currency Revaluation Journal.
- Reconciliation of loans with the Bank by reviewing both the principal and interest element.
- Monthly booking of interest expense.
- Insurance of all company’s assets.
- Review of OD lines in line with OD agreement.
- Daily Review of all balance sheet items to ensure accuracy.
- Working with external auditors to resolve all audit related issues.
- Working with Finance staff to ensure all Control Accounts have supporting schedules.
- Any other task as assigned by the Financial Controller.
- Ensuring full compliance with all Tax laws and regulations
- Preparation of Monthly Management Pack
- Monthly filing of VAT returns
- Reviewing the Tax Ledgers in the ERP application to ensure correctness.
- Ensuring PAYE, Pension ,ITF ,NSITF, NHF ,VAT, Withholding Tax and CIT are computed accurately and remitted as at when due
- Working Closely with the Tax Consultant to resolve all Tax issues.
- Bank Reconciliations of all Bank accounts.
- Booking of recurring journals such as Prepayment and Accruals with supporting Schedules.
Requirements
Computer/Technical Skills
- Communication Skills
- Certified member of ICAN or ANAN, and Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Nigeria (ICPAN)
- MBA/M.Sc in Finance, Accounting or any related discipline will be an added advantage.
- Relevant experience in audit and costing is advantageous.
- Excellent strategic planning skills and able to interact with all levels.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Good hands-on experience on the ERP application Relationship Management
- Good knowledge of Tax laws.
- Minimum of a B.Sc./HND in Accounting or any other related field of study with at least 5 years work experience.
