Job Title: Senior LAN/WAN and Security Engineer
Location: Lagos
Summary
- The primary objective of this position is to support ICT operations across Routing & Switching, Firewalls, Datacentres, Wireless and Security disciplines, and execute projects
- In addition to executing on projects and operations support, this role will provide technical mentoring and guidance to L2 / L1 support groups throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support comprehensive network LAN, WAN, wireless and security solutions that meet requirements and integrate into the overall group’s network and security architecture.
- Evaluate current network and security systems to propose and implement network system enhancements on Network Switches, Routers, Internet Firewall Services, VPN and other Network Management devices.
- Create and maintain standard builds/templates and apply advanced network and security engineering and architecture knowledge on complex and diverse problems.
- Participate in IT network infrastructure project design, reviews and ensure network architecture goals and requirements are met and aligned with business objectives.
- Work with internal customers and service providers to design, implement and support networks.
- Well versed in cloud architectures, software defined networking, datacentre switching technologies, and securing virtual environments (AWS, Azure, Google desired).
- Assess vendor development/test strategies for various network domain projects.
- Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
- Background in deploying both bare metal systems and virtual cloud services.
- Support and collaborate on the development, implementation and administration of processes and procedures to ensure the reliability, recoverability, and optimum performance of network infrastructure systems and solutions.
- Develop network and security documentation, including diagrams and work instructions, test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects.
- Ability to work as an individual contributor, as a technical expert and as a participant in a team environment.
- Write functional requirements/specifications documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent industry experience.
- Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCIE certifications. Information technology certifications such as MCP, ITIL, VCP.
- 5 years of progressive experience in network architecture, design, engineering and implementation in complex large IT networks and network security
- Advanced knowledge of and experience with networking and network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, F5 LTM, SSH, VPNs), IP routing protocols including RIP, BGP, OSPF, IP Multicast, MPLS.
- Thorough understanding of modern service providers, TCP/IP data networks using standards and technologies including but not limited to: Ethernet, OSPF, IGMP, STP, RSTP, 802.1q, 802.11n, and 802.11ac.
- Experience with Policy Based Routing, Quality of Service, netflow, Wireless 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, virtual networks, NAT, ACL controls, Web Security/URL Filtering, IPSec, Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), Malware Prevention
- IPv4 and IPv6 experience is compulsory.
- Knowledge, skills and experience with Cisco routing, switching, and wireless hardware, software and protocols.
- Experience with SDN, SD-WAN products and services, plus working knowledge of structured cabling systems and network facilities.
- Experience in firewall design and in network security including: Device Hardening, IDS/IPS, SIEM, Firewalls, and IPSec, vulnerability assessment and intrusion detection.
- Strong WAN experience managing global network infrastructure.
- Proven ability to accomplish assigned tasks with little supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Demonstrated confidence with the ability to present and have conversations.
- Establishes best practices through collaboration with IT Security and IT Infrastructure Operations.
- Collaborates with IT Security and Client Services toward compliance and auditing.

Job Title: Senior Systems Administrator
Location: Lagos
Summary
- The Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for resolving escalated service issues, coaching other administrators to resolve, engineer and implement complex projects, and for maintaining and overseeing the technology.
- This role is a key position within the ICT operation unit and will be called upon to resolve the highest-level technical issues.
Responsibilities
- Management of Office 365 including all communication and collaboration services offered under it including Skype for Business, Teams, Exchange E-mail and SharePoint.
- Device management and enrolment.
- Device compliance/configuration.
- Identify security risks within Office 365 environment and services and suggest mitigations.
- Support hybrid Microsoft environment.
- Investigates and analyzes resource utilization and prepares reports.
- Optimizes the network infrastructure to maintain the highest possible level of performance and security.
- Plan the replacement of obsolete resources that make up the enterprise network infrastructure.
- Build, support and maintain the VDI environment, including standardized templates, application delivery methods, enterprise antivirus, persona management infrastructure, host servers and zero clients.
- Build, support and maintain the configuration management suite, including multiple Windows Enterprise desktop images (WIMs), automated task sequences, an automated backup infrastructure, central imaging environment, automated software deployment and patch management updates.
- Build, support and maintain Active Directory Group Policy Objects that are used to secure and configure the enterprise client-computing infrastructure.
- Build, support and maintain role-based access control for enterprise computing solutions, including VDI, endpoint management suite and Print/Scan solutions.
- Build, support and maintain support documents, standard operating procedures and policies related to the network, security systems, server and storage infrastructure, and the client-computing infrastructure.
- Work with application developers and third-party vendors to develop software or virtualized installation packages for network deployment via the Enterprise configuration management suite.
- Build, support and maintain the enterprise network, servers and storage infrastructure, both virtual and physical, using routine commands, administration techniques, tools, and utilities.
- Build, support and maintain the Microsoft and Linux infrastructure for the enterprise.
- Build, support and maintain the protection of company data and systems using security solutions, backups, redundancy and disaster recovery solutions
- Management of asset lifecycle process through planning and forecasting, including recommendation for replacement of obsolete or end-of-life resources as needed
- Interacts with external vendors to evaluate technology changes, including licensing and contracts, and their impact on the business.
- Investigates and analyzes resource utilization and prepares reports and metrics, making appropriate changes to optimize the infrastructure and provide the highest possible level of performance and security.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related discipline.
- MCSA Server 2016.
- MCSE Server Infrastructure.
- Knowledge of Office 365, Skype for Business.
- ITIL Foundation.
- 3+ years establishing and maintaining O365 Exchange mailboxes, user accounts, distribution groups and providing input on enterprise exchange policies and procedures supporting Office 365 including SharePoint.
- 3 years working with Windows Server OS, Mobile device OS, Client/Server knowledge, Microsoft Active Directory, understanding of Cloud services.
- Experience with large Exchange to Office 365 migrations.
- Office 365 Admin Application and Services in a Hybrid server environment
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Skype for Business, Skype for Business Mobile, Infrastructure, and Clients.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 tenancy administration.
- Implemented Office 365 and Exchange On-Line.
- Deployed Microsoft Skype for Business over virtual clients, wireless environments, and remote environments.
- Deep knowledge of High-Availability computing and networking (load balancing, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
- Experience using PowerShell, and/or other scripting tools is a huge plus.
- You have in-depth technical expertise in messaging, video, voice, web conferencing (e.g. Skype, Vidyo, Blue Jeans), and IP telephony technologies.
- You have a solid grasp of UCC Communications Protocols (SIP, RTV, WebRTC, H.264, and H.323) and understand the impact of QoS in the UCC ecosystem.
- Knowledge of Exchange Server 2003 – 2016, Windows Server 2003 – 2016, OSX troubleshooting, Hyper-V, vSphere, Citrix, SQL, and Terminal Services.
