We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Human Resource & Organizational Development Advisor

Location: Abuja

Job Description

  • The overview of this role is to effectively and strategically manage the HROD function to improve relations between employees and management.
  • S/he oversees the grievance procedures, investigate employee disciplinary actions and facilitate conflict resolutions.
  • S/he typically leads the HR Coordinators, support the National Management Team and provide regular HR advice to National Director.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum of five [5] work experience as an HR Manager, HR consultant or similar role
  • B.Sc in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or similar field
  • MSc/MA in HR or Organizational Psychology is a plus
  • CIPM certification or equivalent is an advantage
  • Knowledge of labor legislation
  • Hands-on experience with Human Resources Management Software (HRMS)
  • Ability to design clear and fair Organizations policies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem-solving attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and strengthen performance evaluation methods (e.g. employee appraisal systems)
  • Design and help implement Organization policies, guidelines/manuals and standard operating procedures.
  • Review and update job descriptions
  • Facilitate the Training of hiring managers [ Selected Interview Panel Members] on candidate interview evaluation techniques
  • Conduct internal surveys to gather employee feedback and identify areas of improvement
  • Supervise the use of HR technology solutions to improve day-to-day operations (e.g. HRIS software)
  • Monitor key recruiting metrics, like turnover and retention rates
  • Address employee requests and potential issues (e.g. grievances)
  • Assist in organizing employer branding initiatives
  • Act as the point of contact for hiring managers, employees and other HR team members
  • Monitor HR compliance and make recommendation for management decisions.
