Job Description

  • A CBN licenced Finance Company is seeking a top performing, highly motivated individual who will serve as the Executive Assistant (EA) to it’s Managing Director/CEO to perform a range of administrative and strategic duties as well as engage in special projects to maximise the CEO’s time and effectiveness.
  • The EA will attend meetings with and on behalf of the CEO and be involved in all operations of the company. This role requires close coordination with the entire executive leadership of the company and as such the candidate requires outstanding professionalism and discretion.
  • The EA will have access to the CEO’s network ranging from public to private sectors and would be required to handle a wide range of time-sensitive administrative responsibilities.
  • This is a career-track job for an outstanding individual who is willing to use the opportunity to shadow the CEO on a learning journey.

Required Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in finance, management, economics or related discipline from a reputable university degree
  • Have a CFA or ICAN/ACCA certification

Work Experience:

  • Solid work experience in the financial services industry (banking preferably) of up to 7 years
  • Master’s degree with up to 5 years’ experience in a similar role will be considered Knowledge of general financial products and

Technical Competences:

  • Business Research and Analysis
  • Financial and Data Analysis
  • Financial Control and Strategy
  • Financial Report writing
  • Deep knowledge of the financial services industry
  • Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and other tools

General Competencies:

  • Strong Analytical and problem solving skills including data structuring, quantitative reasoning and implication development.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team with good relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Good understanding of regulatory framework for financial services sector
  • Willing and able to travel
  • Excellent written and communications skills including accurately delivering information verbally, compose and edit written materials i.e. proposals, reports, presentations, high level minutes etc
  • Excellent planning skills; prioritizing, self-managing, and multitasking
  • Good organizational, problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to propose solutions to problems; taking on new challenges and working outside comfort areas
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, prioritise and meet deadlines
