Job Title: Site Lifting Supervisor
Location: Lagos

Job Description
- Under management of Safety Manager, the site Lifting Supervisor has the primary responsibility to ensure lifting and rigging Safety Standards are implemented on site
- Coach/Train Company and contractor’s site employees regarding Rigging and lifting
- Acts as a change agent
- Aims for zero accident on site and challenge contractors on their practices of lifting and rigging.
Main Tasks
- Works in full coordination with the Safety, Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil Work Coordinators
- Carries out continuous inspection on all safety aspects, especially lifting and rigging
- Reports any incidents timely and accurately, investigate and insure follow-up of remedial actions
- On a day-to-day basis, assures consistence of Permit To Work/Method statements versus work performed
- Controls implementation of safety rules and procedures during lifting activities
- Control and validate contractor’s lifting plan (including Rigging details)
- Continuously and pro-actively inspects the quality of lifting equipment and tools (Cranes, slings, shackles…) together with the contractor
- Participates to the investigation of FI’s, LTI’s, MTI’s and significant events andimplement safety action plans. Personally assist to major lifting activities
- Review and validate PTW on Safety Manager Request.Keep himself informed about ongoing site activities based on PTW log.
- Participates in the internal safety team meetings.
Qualifications
- Professional habilitation regarding Lifting and rigging. Habilitation for driving crane (mobile and/or tower crane)
- Preferably College or University Degree in a Technical field
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or certified IOSH – NEBOSH or equivalent recognized certification is appreciated.
Experience:
- Minimum experience of 5 years in lifting and rigging supervision in heavy industry construction projects
- Proven project experience preferably in cement and/or similar type of heavy industry / industrial construction related fields
Skills:
- Good communication skills and ability to stick to principles
- Good ability to work within a team
- Good knowledge regarding Rigging / Lifting technical aspects in construction
- Ability to perform Root Causes Analysis
- Good knowledge of technical aspect of erection/construction
- Good ability in coaching/training
- Some knowledge in local laws and regulations on occupational health & safety
- Necessary computer skills
- Open to diversity and Cultural sensitivity in environment of the project. Good listening, interpersonal, conflict management, convincing and facilitation

Job Title: Site Electrical & Automation Manager – Electrical and Automation Construction
Location: Lagos

Job Description
- The Site Electrical and automation Manager has the primary responsibility to provide technical support to the Project Manager on all electrical and automation related activities of construction
- Fulfill the duty of management and administration for all electrical and automation construction works in compliance with all applicable safety and electrical standards
- Reporting on all electrical and automation construction aspects to the Project Manager
- Leads the electrical team and organizes the duty roster.
Main Tasks
- Have a thorough knowledge of project electrical and automation specifications and drawings
- Regularly inspect the work in progress, noting deviations in quality, and monitor progress against work scheduled
- Ensure that deviations in quality are documented and corrected to conform to project specifications
- Evaluate the structural steel and civil works to ensure problem free installation of the electrical equipment
- Ensure compliance with Clients equipment acceptance procedures and that work meets the project standards
- Evaluate and approve schedules for electrical and automation erection submitted by the Contractors
- Monitor contractor’s manpower levels in relation to accomplishing the tasks to be completed
- Evaluate the erection activities and provide guidance in order to coordinate between electrical, mechanical and structural erection
- Maintain current equipment and erection drawing records and ensure that contractor is working with the latest approved issue of drawings
- Coordinate electrical equipment check out and start up testing in conjunction with equipment suppliers and electrical construction company
- Assist the Project Manager in the evaluation and resolution of construction claims
- Prepare regular reports to the Project Manager on electrical erection activities that impact the project schedule, budget and scope (including project deviations)
- Verifies contractor’s statements, progress, quality reports, quantity survey, etc. for electrical and automation works Participates in the internal Site Team meetings and meetings with contractors’ site team
- Help to ensure a safe, clean and thus efficient work environment in the construction areas
- Develop good working relationships within the project team and with the operation team
- Maintain close contact with the contractor’s electrical team and assists when necessary the contractor in all electrical aspects.
Qualifications
- University Degree (Bachelor) in Electrical Engineering
- Broad experience in cement plant construction with minimum 5 years as head of electrical in construction
- Hands-on knowledge of cost and schedule control tools
- Recognized technical qualifications
- Knowledge of cement plant operation
- Practical knowledge regarding energy isolation.
