Objective 1
- Provide support for the successful implementation of the agricultural component of the program.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate community mobilization towards farmers’ field school and smallholders’ gardening.
- Work with traditional committees to ensure the identification and selection of the most vulnerable beneficiaries for cash/assets for work.
- Ensure IDPs and host communities provide information to ensure accountability, fairness, and transparency during cash or voucher disbursement activities.

Objective 2
- Collate information and data on agricultural activities through surveys, assessments, regular post distribution monitoring and field supervision visits of beneficiary households.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and compile information to ensure that the surveillance of the farming situation in the area of implementation of the program is achieving the expected result when required.
- Supervise and collect the required information in the field to facilitate the capacity building and training program, with the support of the FSL AGRO Assistants.
- Support the M&E team in the analysis of beneficiary data collection through the various tools that the department uses.

- Implement sensitization activities for targeted communities about agricultural activities and strengthening end line agriculture with support from relevant State, LGA and community stakeholders at LGA level.

- Participate in regular internal and external coordination meeting for the program at the local government level
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with all other AAH departments and sectors to ensure the project activities are integrated into line with Logistics, Finance, HR and security procedures, and SoPs.
- Collaboration with other partners including relevant state government ministries, Borno State Agricultural Development Program, Chad Basin Development Authority, INGOs, NGOs, CBOs and the UN working in assigned LGA.
- Work in collaboration with the communities and local leaders at all stages of project implementation.

Qualifications
- HND in Agric Economics, Business Management, Sociology or Accounting, and any relevant field.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Minimum of two years experience in humanitarian contexts, with at least 1 year in conflict/insecure contexts.
- Previous experience with food security and livelihoods programming.
- Excellent Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Willing and able to be based and travel regularly within remote areas, where services are limited.
- Strong computer literacy, organizational and planning skills, report writing, and budget oversight.
- Commitment to upholding Action Against Hunger’s values, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to be adaptable and flexible.
- Fluency in English, Hausa and other local languages (Fulani and Kanuri)

Job Title: Nutrition and Health Assistant

Objective 1
- Undertake nutrition interventions at the LGA level under the direction of the Nutrition Officer
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate community mobilization, meetings and trainings during community led Nutrition activities;
- Work closely with community resource structures ( CGVs, Traditional and Religious leaders) to follow up on implementation of Infant Young Child Feeding (IYCF) activities with the support from the Nutrition Officer
- Support in the implementation of capacity building training for the target beneficiaries in the community.
- Directly implement in the field activities defined in the program in close collaboration with the Nutrition Officer.
- Implement a detailed work plan in collaboration with the AAH Nutrition team in Yobe at LGA / ward level activities in collaboration with Nutrition Officer, which includes among others delivery and follow-up of training.
Objective 2
- Collect information and data on nutrition at the LGA level through screenings, surveys, and assessments
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Collect information to ensure effective surveillance of the nutritional situation in the area of intervention.
- Collect the required information in the field to support an understanding of the evolution of the context.
- Support the M&E team in data collection for screening or other nutrition-related assessments.
- Support the preparation of documentation required for the implementation of field activities
Objective 3
- Mobilization and awareness-raising about the organization, program objectives, and activities to local authorities and the population, and act as a link between the Organization and the beneficiaries (at LGA level)
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of project community mobilization strategies.
- Implement sensitisation activities for targeted communities about IYCF and specifically rolling out the care group model with support from Community Volunteers (CGVs), traditional and religious leaders plus other key stakeholders at LGA level.
- Coordinate all activities very closely and in collaboration with LGA nutrition focal persons, the HF in charge and PHC coordinator plus other key stakeholders.
- Facilitate a good working relationship between CGVs, HF in charges, LGA staff plus local & religious leader’s government and target beneficiaries.

Qualifications
- Diploma in a Nutrition or Community Health, Public Health, Nursing, and Health-related field.
Skills and Experience

- 1 year relevant work experience
- Experience in the Nutrition and social approach – IYCF a plus
