The Providence by Mantis is a 5-star hotel in Ikeja, Government Reserved Area, Lagos. The understated luxury and class are complimented by the exceptional service on offer. Set in a sprawling suburban backdrop, away from the energy and excitement of Lagos, the hotel has a modern design, elegant lines and bold colors. The Providence by Mantis consists of 79 luxury rooms, 3 of which are PentHouse Suites situated on the 5th Floor.

We have recently commenced operations and are seeking to recruit highly talented individuals for the position below:

Job Title: Handyman/Technician

Location: Lagos
Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Task, Duties and Responsibilities

• As the Handyman/Technician, you will fill a key role in maintaining the appearance and presentation of your hotel of an industry-recognized leader in hospitality management services.
• As the appearance and cleanliness of the hotel is paramount to all guests, you will ensure repairs, maintenance, and the preventative maintenance program are completed as directed.
• The Handyman also supports/monitors capital repair and renovation projects.

Requirements

• Degree certificate in a relevant field of study (Technical Certificate)
• Candidate should be able to communicate in English, both spoken and written
• To demonstrate a positive and professional approach at all times to our guest, ensure wherever possible the highest standard of customer service and satisfaction.
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures;
• Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete safety training and certifications.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• To attend guest request and requirements as promptly as possible
• Assist colleagues to perform similar or related jobs when necessary
• Accept flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to the hotel guest.

Desirable:

• Prior hotel experience, 3 years’ experience involving facilities maintenance and operations.
