Job Title: Senior Drilling Supervisor (HPHT Operations)

Location: Nigeria

Overall Purpose of the Job

  • To lead & supervise high risk profile HPHT Drilling, Completions, Abandonment, Intervention and Workover field based HPHT Operations team towards safe and timely delivery of oil and gas wells in line with the well objectives.
  • He is responsible for continuous monitoring of D & C execution process effectiveness and suggest changes to process and program improvement.

Principal Accountabilities

  • He drives & manage field base HSE and ensure safety of personnel, properties and environment. Function as emergency response focal point.
  • He is personally responsible for the integration of the field personnel and enforcement of their compliance to the operator’s workover, drilling & completions procedures, manuals and policies during well execution. Responsible for the documentation of well condition and integrity prior to well handover to production.
  • He executes & manages the well contracts for all vendors mobilized to the rig site. Evaluate and report on performing service contractors to safeguard the technical and commercial interests of the company.
  • Makes valuable input into the drilling, workover and completions program based on field experience.
  • He ensures adequate logistics plans for equipment / materials usage at wellsite.
  • He coaches trainee engineers and mentor other Drilling Supervisors attached to the rig operations.
  • He is responsible for managing and transmitting quality drilling operations reports, cost reports and other valuable drilling activities related reports daily to the head office before the well operations morning broadcast.
  • Coordinates the daily well operations morning broadcast from the field and ensure concise information is available to aid decision making process.
  • Manages the permit to work system on the wellsite to ensure well operations are executed in a safe, coordinated and efficient manner.
  • Reviews and signs off timely all work completion certificates and timesheets for work done in the field
  • He is responsible for the onsite supervision of a high risk profile well / special project required to deliver value within the scope, schedule and cost baselines of the project.
  • He is responsible for continuous monitoring of D & C execution process effectiveness and suggest changes to process and program improvement.

Requirements

  • Excellent understanding of good operations and rig activities
  • Good communication skills
  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience in oil and gas Company
  • High knowledge of rig equipment and their functionality
  • Good knowledge of oil and gas regulations and standards
  • In current possession of valid IWCF Certification
  • Member of at least one professional body, including SPE
  • Analytical mindset and ability to solve problems

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Lagos

Role Purposes

  • Develop new business opportunities for the company through the attraction of new clients within Africa
  • To initiate and formalise the GPS business plan for Africa and manage the activities that achieve the company gross turnover and margin by selective tendering and management of business development budgets.
  • To hire, supervise and lead staff to build and grow a sustainable and vibrant business operation.

Key Accountabilities

  • Prepare Business plan for Africa incorporating specific marketing strategies
  • Implement business plans and strategies too promote the attainment of company goals.
  • Identify technical and commercial risks
  • Minimises risks through an appropriate strategy and action plan.

Scope:

  • Win business across the variety of GPS business for execution in Africa
  • Provide regional intelligence for other operations
  • Recommend Bid/ no bid decisions in accordance with market circumstances and company guidelines and strategy
  • Build relationships with current and potential clients and partners.
  • Identify and minimise company commercial risk in proposals through liaison with commercial group.
  • Close tracking of industry developments and prospects in Africa
  • Arrange specific marketing events to build brand awareness in the region.
  • Ensure that the company has the adequate and suitable resources to complete its activities (E.g hire people, purchase material & equipment etc.)

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • 15+ years of experience in oil and gas industry
  • At least 3 – 4 years of experience in a similar role
  • This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. It will require strong people management and commercial skills.
  • Ideally has a background in solutions and services and experience of bid campaign management from opportunity identification through to project delivery, and will provide valuable input into opportunity qualification, win strategies, commercial discussions and solution design.
  • Will be fully conversant with the competitive marketplace.
  • Knowledge of government contracting, legal governance procedures, proposal development, and publications development and production is highly desirable

Job Title: Senior Contract Drilling Analyst

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • To efficiently manage Drilling and completion contracts and monitor spending during project execution. To promote HSE awareness and ensure site-specific HSE requirements are met.

Principal Accountabilities
(Describe the important end results of the job, i.e., what has to be achieved and why. Start with the most important and number each one separately):

  • Ability to initiate plans for the Improvement of company systems and procedures for cost control and manages approved development work.
  • Ability to operate and maintain detailed systems and written procedures for the control of CAPEX in excess of a certain amount per year that will satisfy the requirements of quality accreditation and periodic audits
  • Ability to maintain historical drilling and completion cost/expenditure records and data against which trends may be measured and estimates developed.
  • Ability to supervise the operation of the company’s integrated project cost control systems and all other applications relevant to the cost function
  • Ability to prepare and make presentations to JV Partners, management and project personnel on current project cost control methods and procedures
  • Ability to support the drilling teams in formulating budgets for both corporate and external budget cycles.
  • Ability to assist the drilling department with the preparation of Authorizations for Expenditure (“AFEs”), particularly as regards developing realistic cost estimates for activity line items within each AFE.
  • Ability to review and process drilling invoices to ensure compliance with the commercial terms of contracts and correct coding of costs.
  • Ability to develop and produce cost reports for submission to the drilling team, JV Partners, and management and the corporate office to explain the drilling cost performance
  • Ability to support the Contracts & Procurement team in the contracting and procurement of drilling materials and services, ensuring that C&P activity falls within planned budgets and that drilling requisitions are coded correctly.
  • Ability to organize and participate in regular inventory/stock checks at all locations where drilling stock is held.
  • Ability to provide any and all necessary support during routine audits of drilling costs by corporate auditors, partners, and statutory auditors.
  • Ability to analyze cost expenditure reports; reviews project progress and make recommendations to drilling engineers and supervisors.
  • Ability to prepare, evaluate and participate in discussions for cost variation issues related to specific projects and develops ways to address them and keep documentation for tracking purposes.

Requirements

  • Higher education (Degree) relevant to the position.
  • Experience in engineering and contracting
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Have 3-6 years’ experience from an Energy, Oil and Gas experience
