Job Title: Maritime Works Engineer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Description

  • The Engineer will execute the activities within his area of responsibility and will coordinate the activities performed by subcontractors, ensuring the compliance with project requirements and Company standards.

Main Tasks include:

  • Review Client technical documentation and requirements
  • Prepare design specifications for reinforced concrete, maritime steel structures, piling, sheet-piles, mooring system works
  • Set up and execute assigned engineering activities such as detail design, verification and studies relevant to any engineering topic associated to Maritime works
  • Ensure interface with other Project Specialists, Designers and other Departments, Process, Construction, Fabrication and Transport
  • Control of subcontracted maritime works engineering documents inside or outside the Company
  • Prepare material specification for maritime structures
  • Liaise with Method Department for set-up of the construction sequence to check maritime structures during temporary phases
  • Prepare and control MTOs and BOQs
  • Prepare S.O.W. and technical specification for maritime construction subcontracts
  • Prepare technical documentation for maritime material requisition and assists the procurement dept. in the technical evaluations
  • Supervise/Approve maritime civil structure design, plot plans of maritime structures and associated piling dwgs issued by Designers and Draftsmen
  • Monitor trend of maritime works quantities with respect to bid
  • Provide support field engineering at site
  • It is requested the availability for long term assignment at Vendor premises and/or site.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in civil and structural design of Maritime Works, including jetty and berths, loading platforms, breasting and mooring structures, port structures and shore protections.
  • Experience in coordination of subcontractor activities and support to site activity, as well as management of interface with Client and Vendors.
  • At least 10 years of experience
  • Maturity and experience working with ATC Contractors.

Job Title: Planner Engineer

Location: Nigeria

Job Description

  • Takes all necessary actions for the success of the project
  • Prepare the Monthly Bi-Weekly Weekly Progress Report, Monthly Planning Report, DDP Report, Monthly Project Cost Report and HSE Manhours / Statistic Update on time
  • Understanding of the total project scope of works and deliverables and highlight to the project team for any changes.
  • Creates and update Master Project Schedule, progress milestone and highlight any changes and provide a catch up plan / look a head schedule. • Complies with contract requirements, quality management systems and QA/QC Plan
  • Communicates with regular basis with project team, rig personnel, client reps and others personnel related to the project along completion of the project
  • Promotes Health, Safety and Environments in parallel with Quality Management Systems and corporate policies
  • Ensures safe working practices and conditions
  • Ensures compliance with all regulations, policies and standards • Maintains a current understanding of all regulations and issues affecting the operations
  • Ensures all personnel involved have the required certifications and competencies
  • Reports immediately to the Project Manager, QHSE Coordinator, any incidents

Job Title: Cost Control Engineer

Location: Nigeria

Job Description

  • Deliver consistent but appropriate cost management structures for major complex projects
  • Establish and implement the project controls process and system
  • Develop the cost management procedures
  • Roll-out of the Company standard tools and processes, as appropriate for each project’s life cycle development & execution phase
  • Develop and Implement Project Cost Management Plan
  • Implementation of cost breakdown structures (CBS) and their population from the estimate in line with the Work Breakdown Structure WBS
  • Provide project management support in the development of cost breakdown structures, estimates, records and forecasts for the timely submission into the investment documentation, the annual corporate planning cycle, or partner cash calling submissions. Provide Management with accurate monthly cost reports
  • Provide project guidance for creation of accurate monthly cost reports, identifying variances from the plan on commitment, value of work done, changes and currency fluctuations against approved Authorities For Expenditure (AFEs)
  • Develop and implement Value of Work Done (VOWD) as well as Earned Value Management process consistently across projects/sub projects
  • Participate in peer reviews and other Assurance events
  • Contribute to the development of junior staff through coaching and training in cost engineering practices, tools and techniques. Maintain and promote realism in the cost forecasts in the face of commercial pressure and optimism from project teams
  • Maintain consistency in cost bases through rigorous adherence to the controls processes
  • Drive and raise awareness of the importance of developing the cost management structure in early project phases.

Requirements

  • Engineering Degree and / or Certification as a Cost Engineer or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 10 years industry experience in Lead cost engineering positions
  • Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills. Fully versed with Cost Control principles and techniques as well as Cost Control Soft wares such as SAP, Prediction +, Prolog etc.

Job Description

  • Issue to vendors the Request for Quotation based on given purchasing request
  • Support the vendors during the preparation of the technical/commercial proposals with obligation of confidentiality about the related bid info
  • Prep are the commercial / economic bid tabulation to compare different proposals and suggest actions to be taken in order to improve bid result and/or select the vendor
  • Lead the commercial / economic negotiation
  • Prepare the purchase order/subcontract based on standard General Purchase Terms and Conditions and Project Special Purchase Conditions, if any, and managing possible deviations
  • Close out the bid process receiving purchase/subcontract confirmation by selected vendor and informing the unsuccessful vendors about negative result of their bid
  • Follow up and negotiate, if necessary, purchase order/subcontract revisions
  • Perform the assigned activities in compliance with procedures and provided systems and tools
  • Check and comment the technical documentation received with the Purchase Requisition and Technical Evaluation
  • Manage contractual documentation (Archive) before the issue to centralized archive

Requirements
As this is a greenfield project the following are requirements are a must:

  • Job experience in EPC Company
  • Procuring of Pipes / fittings / flanges / valves / steel structures / pressure vessels / rotating equipment / electrical and instrumentation materials (cables, switchgears, transformers, telecom systems, control and automation systems)
  • Knowledge of SAP system
  • Capability to work with autonomy when setting up the procurement activities (Vendor list preparation, selection, negotiations etc)
  • So basically buyers but for services, and people who will be able to find the suppliers and negotiate with them
  • Experienced in Greenfield project phase. As always experience in Oil / Gas company is a must.

Job Title: Senior Completions Engineer

Location: Nigeria

Job Description

  • Good technical knowledge of well operations. Initiative to proffer solutions to technical problems. Sound knowledge of IADC/API guidelines for well operations. Knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations applicable to CTU, eline, slickline, testing and completion operations
  • Responsible for well completion and well testing (DST) planning, programming and execution in compliance with the Well Delivery Process.
  • Ensure work programmes are fully compliant with regulations, companies HSSE policies, standards and procedures and industry best practices. Ensure these are complied with during the execution of the work programme.
  • Supervise and ensure detailed and robust completion and DST programs are available in a timely manner.
  • Interact with contractors to ensure the provision of proper tools for use in well completions and DSTs.
  • Research and introduce applicable new technology with a view to improving completion practices and efficiency.
  • Establish completion KPI’s and ensure the measurement of completions’ performance against these and reported.
  • Ensure completion and DST end of well and performance reports are provided in a timely fashion and that they meet the required standards.
  • Provide detailed scopes of work for completions and DSTs equipment, materials and services to SCM for tender exercises.
  • Monitor the validity of completion and DST contracts and expenditure and ensure effective contract cover for all planned work.
  • Plan and lead CWOPs.

Requirements

  • The position is on a rotational basis, based in Benin, with visits to the OES Teamwork swamp barge and occasional trips to PH, Warri and wellheads as may be required
  • Member Society of Petroleum Engineers. Attended industry courses in well engineering, well operations management, project management. Valid IWCF or equivalent
  • > 15 years of which a minimum of 5 years must be with an Operator in an SCE planning, programming, execution role with completions, interventions (CTU, eline, slickline), DST and workover experience.
  • Good technical knowledge of well operations. Initiative to proffer solutions to technical problems. Sound knowledge of IADC/API guidelines for well operations. Knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations applicable to CTU, eline, slickline, testing and completion operations.
  • Supervise subordinates, rig, DST and intervention operations, service companies; make presentations and facilitate meetings
  • 40+ years (minimum).
