We are recruiting to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Anaesthetist Nurse

Location: Nigeria
Job Type: Contracts
Job Nature: Rotation

Job Description
Report:

  • to COMPANY’s Site Manager for all aspects of their routine and emergency duties to COMPANY’s Head of Emergency and Field Support and Chief Medical Officer for professional directives, support and advice.

Medical:

  • Coordinate emergency and primary treatment for accidents and illnesses; organise first aid as necessary and evacuation where necessary.
  • Follow up Primary and Contingency Emergency Medical Response Plans  Offshore Site.
  • Be responsible for the general administration, maintenance and arrangement of the CLINIC.
  • Maintain accurate MEDICAL records, reports and statistics, and the compilation of reports and referral letters to outside agencies; relevant computer input as necessary.
  • Maintain daily accident, consultation, referral and hospitalization log.
  • Coordinate activities of the first Aid team and / Stretcher Team.

Hygiene:

  • Ensure that high standards are maintained regarding the catering and accommodation services and complete hygiene report as frequently as required. Advice as far as is practicable on the control and eradication of hazards.
  • Conduct periodical hygiene inspection with HSE Advisor on Living Quarters and Work Sites.
  • Ensure proper management of Medical waste in line with Company rule.

Training And Investigation:

  • Conduct weekly First aid training to Stretcher team.
  • Schedule regular first aid instruction and drills for first aid teams and emergency support staff.
  • Offer support and advise on the completion of accident & incident report forms, including follow up and investigation on accidents, and carry out health surveillance with respect to legislative and COMPANY`s requirements.
  • Attend & Participate in Site HSE meetings.

Health:

  • Initiate, control, record and provide input and advice with all matters hazardous to health.
  • Survey the site health facilities in accordance with all applicable local regulations and COMPANY`s requirements.
  • Raising awareness on hygiene, pest control, and prevention of infectious diseases.
  • Alerting the OIM, Head of Emergency & field support and the CMO of any epidemiologic event (Contagious diseases, food poisoning, etc.).

Job Requirements

  • Recognized diploma of Anaesthetist/Resuscitation Nursing.
  • Valid BLS/ ACLS/ITLS Certifications
  • 5 years of working experience of which the last 2 years should be in continual practice in anaesthesia, emergency / intensive care unit, operative theatre, as well in paediatrics.
  • Good computerization practice and usual software’s knowledge.
  • Practical experience in medical support of Offshore or Onshore Oil Industry and in isolated environment.
  • Basic knowledge’s in maintenance of technical equipment.

SERVICE Scheme and Location:

  • Rotational, 4 weeks ON * 4 Weeks OFF – 7 days a week.
  • Site Based – Onshore or Offshore, Nigeria.

Job Title: Nurse

Job Description
Report:

  • To COMPANY’s Head of Nursing/ Manager for all aspects of their routine and emergency duties
  • To COMPANY Chief Medical Officer for professional directives, support and advice

Medical:

  • Actively involved in emergency and primary treatment for accidents and illnesses; organize first aid as necessary and assist in evacuation where necessary.
  • Take directives from the SMO and or Head of Nursing for the general administration, maintenance and arrangement of the CLINIC.
  • Ready to work both day and night shifts
  • Maintain accurate MEDICAL records of all activities and produce reports and statistics periodically as may be required.
  • Maintain a log of daily consultations, hospitalization and transfer to retainer hospitals.

Hygiene:

  • Ensure that high standards are maintained regarding infection control in the out-patient and hospitalization areas and others as may be necessary.
  • Ensure proper disposal of medical waste.
  • Conduct periodic deep cleaning of all patient areas.

Training And Investigation:

  • Participate in regular first aid instruction for staff and dependents and drills for first aid teams and emergency support staff.
  • Offer support and advise on the completion of accident & incident report forms, including follow up and investigation on accidents, and carry out health surveillance with respect to legislative and COMPANY`s requirements.

Health:

  • Initiate, control, record and provide input and advice with all matters hazardous to health.
  • Participate in Port Harcourt Clinic health facility survey in accordance with all applicable local regulations and COMPANY`s requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Nigerian Registered Nurse; and must hold a recognized diploma in general nursing and midwifery
  • 5 years of working experience of which last 2 years continual practice in any one or 2 of the following areas in a reputable hospital; Accident and emergency, intensive care unit, operating theatre, Medical or Surgical wards and paediatrics.
  • Basic computer knowledge with emphasis on words and excel.
  • Additional qualification in paediatric and emergency nursing will be an added advantage
  • Must be registered with the nursing and midwifery council of Nigeria and must in addition, possess a valid licence.

SERVICE Scheme and Location:

  • Onshore Nigeria
  • Monday – Friday 7.30am – 5p.m
  • Alternate Weekend (Saturday & Sunday) 7.30am – 2pm
