Job Title: Procurement Specialist
Location: Lagos
Job Descriptions
- Responsible for identifying and sourcing procurement suppliers, negotiating sales contract terms and conditions favorable to the company. To also ensure profitably whilst sourcing new businesses and clients.
- Reports to – Managing Director and Business Development Manager
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelors’ degree / HND in Engineering, Sciences or any other relevant discipline
- MBA and Project Management Certification is an added advantage
- 5 years minimum experience in similar role

Job Responsibilities
- Leads the procurement function and oversees all aspects of purchasing, negotiations, strategy, tool and process implementation for procurement and delivery related to goods and services.
- Develop client base / customer relationships in bringing in new businesses
- Provides leadership and direction to the procurement arm of the business.
- Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
- Researches new products and services to meet company’s goals
- Assesses total costs of company purchases
- Manage overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of procurement for the Company.
- Perform all procurement and contracting activities including pre-qualification, tender management, negotiation, preparation of contracts and MOAs.
- Access to Nipex and all other portals relevant to the business.
- Set policy and guidelines for delivering commercial and cost-effective procuring process for the business.
- Develop key relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners and OEM’s to improve business.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to obtain best price and service.
- Attending meetings to generate more business for the department
- Increase RFQ’s and PO conversion to ensure the company meets its minimum set targets
- Identify cost reduction opportunities to achieve financial goals.
- Analyze market and delivery trends to develop procurement technologies and processes that support those trends.
- Identify areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results.
- Any other responsibilities requested by the Managing Director
