An indigenous Specialist Energy Servicing company that provides integrated services in the oil and gas industry is recruiting suitably qualified candidate to fill the position below:

Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Location: Lagos

Job Descriptions

  • Responsible for identifying and sourcing procurement suppliers, negotiating sales contract terms and conditions favorable to the company. To also ensure profitably whilst sourcing new businesses and clients.
  • Reports to – Managing Director and Business Development Manager

 

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelors’ degree / HND in Engineering, Sciences or any other relevant discipline
  • MBA and Project Management Certification is an added advantage
  • 5 years minimum experience in similar role

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads the procurement function and oversees all aspects of purchasing, negotiations, strategy, tool and process implementation for procurement and delivery related to goods and services.
  • Develop client base / customer relationships in bringing in new businesses
  • Provides leadership and direction to the procurement arm of the business.
  • Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
  • Researches new products and services to meet company’s goals
  • Assesses total costs of company purchases
  • Manage overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of procurement for the Company.
  • Perform all procurement and contracting activities including pre-qualification, tender management, negotiation, preparation of contracts and MOAs.
  • Access to Nipex and all other portals relevant to the business.
  • Set policy and guidelines for delivering commercial and cost-effective procuring process for the business.
  • Develop key relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners and OEM’s to improve business.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to obtain best price and service.
  • Attending meetings to generate more business for the department
  • Increase RFQ’s and PO conversion to ensure the company meets its minimum set targets
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities to achieve financial goals.
  • Analyze market and delivery trends to develop procurement technologies and processes that support those trends.
  • Identify areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results.
  • Any other responsibilities requested by the Managing Director
