Job Title: Business Development Coordinator
Location: Lagos

- Actively source new opportunities especially those unpublicized.
- Timely preparation and submission of tenders and offers as per company requirement
- Liaise with Operations group during bid preparation for vessel certification and documentation
- Direct communication with vessel per time to monitor operations, crew welfare, vessel status – anything that could lead to a potential problem or off-hire.
- Following up with operations on vessel status in contract/off hire and client communication.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate documentation for the Business Development department.
- Maintain various reports regarding database of tenders, pre-qualifications and competitors in the marketplace
- Preparing weekly and monthly reports.
- Stay informed of business environments and industry trends, providing the company with feasibility studies, market intelligence and business analysis.
- Assist in the collation of market intelligence and industry reports
- Assist in developing a marketing strategy towards achieving business objectives.
- Sourcing for replacement/third party vessels and new partnerships.
- Verification of profitability analysis for all contracts with the rate calculation sheet.
- Identify prospective clients and opportunities in the marketplace through various sources such as newspapers, NIPEX, client contacts etc.
- Ensures professional presentation of company’s document of policies, procedures, vessel technical specifications, work history etc.
- Liaise with client’s key personnel for intelligence regarding tender processes to ensure a competent submission.
- Maintain and update information on work history, ongoing opportunities, status of tenders and offers.
- Completion of Vessel pre hire inspection screening questionnaire and certificates verification
- Inspection coordination for vessel mobilization and on hire.
- Custodian of Links and Passwords sheet containing username and weblinks to all our registered companies and passwords to sealed commercial tenders.
- Develop and manage business relationship with the international oil companies with established Nigerian presence.
- Vessel Order Renewal and Sign off per company for invoicing
- Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients.
- Oversee, day-to-day, the schedule for timely responses to RFQs, RFIs and RFPs.
- Responsible for Nipex live status and other bidding platforms renewal to ensure we are active to receive bids.
- Identify through various sources – NIPEX, ARIBA, E Sourcing upcoming requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any Business-related discipline.
- Candidate should be a member Institute of Certified Sales Professional (ICSP) or National Institute of Marketing Nigeria.
- Minimum of 5-10 years Business Development, Sales and/or Marketing experience (related industry experience preferred).
