Role and Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key Regional, Diaspora and global private investors, businesses and institutions; multilateral partners and government agencies to support private sector development in the region;
- Provide leadership in advocacy for and implementation of policy, regulatory, judicial and fiscal reforms, to improve private sector competitiveness and the investment climate in the region.
- Lead the development of comprehensive programs for strengthening financial intermediation and access to credits, and facilitate the development of a regional capital market to enhance cross border investment flow and financial inclusion in the region
- Facilitate the design and implementation of specific programs for strengthening corporate governance, institutional and managerial capacity and providing technical assistance to MSMEs and business associations to upgrade their operational efficiency and competitiveness;
- Promote initiatives for supporting the efforts of member states to develop infrastructure through public-private partnerships by assisting to develop legal and regulatory framework for public-private partnerships operation and financing in ECOWAS;

Academic Qualifications and Experience
- Knowledge of the structures and workings of markets, especially in relations to financial markets (money market, capital market, insurance market, pensions market etc) in a regional setting.
- Knowledge of West-African macroeconomic and development issues; technical capacity to implement a comprehensive policy framework governing the operations of the private sector and proven ability for MSMEs development in a regional setting.
- Specific expertise in the setting up of incubators, technical centers and/or training and vocational centers; and the ability to design, develop and implement programmes and projects with a focus on institutional capacity building and business development services.
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration/ Management, Finance, Banking, Economics or in a closely related field from a recognized University;
- Possession of professional qualification will be an added advantage.

- Provide support to the Director, through the Senior Legal Adviser, for the performance of tasks within their respective areas of competence;
- Provide legal advice in his area to statutory officials and all Commission staff;

Role Overview
- To accomplish the implementation of Component 4 of the PREDIP program on the Prevention and Control of TADs (COMATAO), the project Epidemiologist – N°2 will ensure the implementation of the COMATAO activities at the Regional Animal Health Center (RAHC), as well as ensure the implementation of monitoring and evaluation design to achieve the key results of the PREDIP program.
- He/she will be under the supervision of the RAHC Executive Director.
Role and Responsibilities
- Support monitoring the regional mechanism for the prevention and control of TADs and zoonoses in collaboration with team project team members and relevant partners;
- Support the achievement of quality results and the timely submission of project technical reports, and the presentation of monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual technical reports;
- Support the assessment of the COMATAO project based on costs and timeliness, and in line with the key result areas of PREDIP;

Educational Qualifications:
- Shall Possess a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and an advance degree in Veterinary Epidemiology or Animal Health Surveillance and Planning from a recognized academic institution.

Experience:
- Candidate shall justify at least one (1) proven working year of experience in implementation of European Union (EU) project / program;
